14. A short deal is the only hope of keeping Cade past his UFA in 4 years. Duren is 7 years from being good enough to contend if he ever gets there. Cade will not wait that long to contend, and the Pistons will not be able to find anyone to take Duren before he's an expiring contract.

Now that we have an idea of what the salary for Duren is going to be, and a range for Asaur, we know what the cap will look like the next 4 years. Who do you see out there who may not be known as available currently that the pistons could be targeting as their “big move” at the trade deadline?

19. Most fans don't believe defense is a thing. Pistons are about to pay Duren to be the 2nd option. If he isn't, he should have been traded before the deadline like I have been calling for during the past 2.5 years.

    Cade will be gone within 4 years because the Pistons can't contend with Duren getting paid.
