Do you think this season is a make-or-break season for Drake Powell, Danny Wolf, and Ben Saraf? Why or why not?
It absolutely SHOULD be make-or-break for Ben, Danny, and Drake, but more so for Ben and Drake. Bigs tend to get more rope because they take a bit more time to develop. Personally, I already believe that Ben and Drake specifically are not worth the Nets throwing away a season to develop but here we are.
The Nets have so many picks and not enough spots for all of them. Next year they have another three picks. That's three more potential rookies to develop. If Ben, Drake, and Danny do not show enough upside, there will be someone in the next draft who will not, not to mention the Nets have Joshua Jefferson wanting to take over time, and Tyler is well. I would also add Noah Clowney as on the clock as well.
Unfortunately it is mehe or break. Not entirely there fault but front office and fans are all set on waiting. Igor and nolan t are decent return for the flat bush 5. Just is what it is. But maybe Powell can b something.
