Adding billy will help mitch in adjustments especially since he came in as a young coach also with the old okc with kd, russ etclol
I believe in Coach Mitch!!!!
Only idiots would think Mitch is on his way out after going to the finals his first full season. Billy is just a perfect addition for this young group.
Once upon a time the Spurs were known as “The Bruise Brothers”. Heck Duncan would set hard screens. And opponents really didn’t want Bowen to karate kick them while playing stifling defense. About those pesky takes that are always tearing the team to bare bones are younger fans and/or new fans. Fans who are ready to trade this, fire that and complete with personal attacks. Spurs are reserved and do not trade at a whim. They cultivate traditional norms and values because the city’s history is based in military & religion. That is why Pop was and is more like an elder statesman holding everyone accountable, which fosters respect and admiration for “El Jefé”.
Does he have room for improvement?
Absolutely
Did he do an incredible job?
Absolutely
Mitch Johnson is like Goku, and Billy Donanvan is like King Kai.
And if you know the series, you get that reference, and you know what that means… That means the rest of the coaches better not underestimate him, that's what that means 😂.
Yeah, Mitch aint going nowhere. Spurs fan since 1980ish
Well said Robbin and I stand by not only for these young men but for our young coach Mitch Johnson who has done incredibly well in year under his Leadership many people would never thought San Antonio Spurs will be in the NBA Finals and now lots of outside noises trying to tear this team apart for what this Organization, front office, and coaching staffs and specially to the players trying to built for the future and years to come. One thing to love about this young man Coach Mitch Johnson not once I hear him throwing his players under the bus specially after the Finals despite all the things gone wrong he remain level headed, calm, and collected which is one of the sign of a good/great Coach and San Antonio Spurs for sure found keeper and I'm excited and happy what more this young man can do Win or Lose San Antonio Spurs
