Thumbs up for a sponsor that isn't gambling. 👍
Vassell > MPJ
If castle got 200m it's good contract, I hope he don't ask the max
As much as I love Fox
We must trade him before Dylan’s contract is signed
If Harper is to take a discount, he is going to expect to start
And when that time comes, he SHOULD start
Not this season
But maybe the season after and DEFINITELY the season after that.
Predictions for 2026:
Harper wins 6MOTY
Castle/Wemby/Harper all make AllStar team (Wemby 1st team, Castle and Harp 2nd team)
Wemby wins MVP&DPOY
Spurs win the in season tourney
Spurs win the Finals
Harper Finals MVP
Kj gets traded before AllStar Break for draft cap and a decent role player who can shoot 3s.
What am I wrong about with these predictions?
Am I too excited for Spurs BBALL? Yes, YES I AM!
These ads are making this channel not watchable. Bye.
I don't love the idea of mpj, but it could also be REALLY good. He didn't need the ball that much when he was with the nuggets. He's definitely a championship type of player the spurs could use.
Is it possible that Fox's injury was the main reason why his performance was so poor in the finals, and that he and the Spurs wrongly thought that they could still get it done with him playing hobbled? Do the Spurs know much more about this than we do?
Trading Fox keeps coming up on all of the Spurs YT channels. Who knew we'd get Dylan Harper? Who knew he'd be NBA ready right out of the chute? I really do not see a trade happening for Fox this season, unless Fox asks to leave. They wouldn't treat Fox like that, bringing him in one year with a red carpet and fanfare only to throw him out like yesterday's garbage when they see what they have in Harper. That is just not who they are, even considering the unforced errors he made in the Finals. But I recognize that Dylan is a star and he needs space (minutes) to fulfill his destiny. How the Spurs manage that will be interesting to watch but I just don't see a De'Aaron Fox trade this season. Let's move on.
If Castle is greedy, then treat him like Dejounte Murray and trade him for a haul of FRP. Or treat him like Derrick White, but Castle will bring MUCH MORE than White.
Starters: Reed-Wemby-Bryant-Fox-Harper. Castle = Manu Ginobili and many Sixth Man of the Year awards. Castle is still going to get 30mpg and be around at clutch time. But Castle is a wannabe PG starter. He will look better as a PG against the opposing team's backup PG.
I think castle will take a discount, I seriously doubt he will make 50 million a year. He doesn’t have no accolades yet. He at least gotta make defensive team are something to get close to 50 mill
I'm so f#cking tired listening to your Homer azz. Everyone will choose Porter over vassell every day of the week. Stop being biased bro and put down the pom poms. Porter is bigger and stronger and literally shooting better than vassell. You can't teach an athletic 6'11 "player who can shoot
Castle can asume the Center posición (Harper in the bench)
Porter can play instead Fox , Wemby, castle, vassel, Porter AND Tobías …
May be the starting five?
Dude, you're overthinking it. Fox is the one that will be gone. I don't care if they win the championship this year; Fox will still be on the outside looking in. And Rich Paul, Fox's agent KNOWS this. He's already got his eye out for his client. And since Paul played such a pivotal role in bringing Fox to SA, he will also play a pivotal role in getting Fox to wherever his newest destination will be. Paul got AD to Washington, Garland to the Clippers, Watson the Cavs. You'll see. Once the Spurs signal the obvious after this season (or next season) that no re-up on Fox's extension will be forthcoming when Fox contract ends at 32, he'll start canvassing for new homes and the Spurs will unload Fox on to someone. Simple as that. No need to muse on whether the Spurs should consider dealing any other of the young core–you don't see OKC doing that. They have their big 3 and jettison on the fringes. On the Spurs, that's Vassell, Keldon, Luke, Fox, Julian, etc. Those are our Lu Dorts and Josh Giddeys and Isiah Joes that will be sent away if needed to clear up space. And the new CBA will be negotiated in 2029 to address some of these imbalances between player contracts and all these skyrocketing evaluations.
No, not everyone is getting a max contract these days. The Rockets played hardball with KD, got him to sign for less. Same w/Amen now. The Pistons have drawn a line in the sand with Duren. Only Wemby has gotten the max thus far and that was w/out the incentive kickers. This is all positive for the Spurs because all the teams that have great players in the same age range ahead of our core are going back and forth about their extensions, negotiating hard, creating a solid framework for the Spurs to work with when their other key guys come due. Wemby was always going to be a no-brainer max; we didn't count on his generosity.
The Spurs young core aren’t dumb & more importantly they know what it takes to win + the camaraderie aspect. I have no doubts Castle & squad will follow Wemby’s leadership by taking a “discount” to stay with the Spurs.
