Clippers sucks karma is a bitch
I'll say no because.
1) It got SGA off the Clippers.
2) he returns to a franchise that can win it this year.
3) this team is the "long term gain"
The only counter-argument I’d make is by trading for Kawhi the Raptors got his Bird rights which gives them financial advantages to sign him. So they were the ones hurt the most by the salary cap circumvention – which in effect negated their Bird rights. I’m not sure that means they’re entitled to any “compensation”, but I don’t think they’re exactly on the same footing with that claim as the rest of the league that didn’t have his Bird rights.
Well they didn't actually prove that the clippers stole kawhi what they proved is the clippers where doing negotiations for kawhi with other business that was against the salary cap rules.
No first round picks or one max
They should get all the first round picks that the Clippers loss
We deserve our picks back.
Simple answer is no. Nothing stopping the clippers from just going against Kawhi's wishes and deciding to trade him to a team like the pistons or a team that could make the salary work while also giving less pick compensation. All the value for the clippers here comes from the picks. They don't care about Ingram and Dick as talents. They care about making them look good so they can further flip them for further assets. I know a lot of people just want to see the clippers perish and not be allowed to recoup picks but thats not gonna happen. Unless the NBA takes the stance of just negating their ability to trade players.
We reported it at the time.
