9. If the Clippers didn't BREAK THE RULES to sign Kawhi none of this would have happened. The Clippers are 100% responsible for this and should receive 100% of the punishment.

    The league needs to figure this stuff out because it's becoming more of an investment vehicle than a sport. Unless they know rich people can support the league, they risk losing attention in an era where the general public is tired of how everything is an investment vehicle

14. If the trade is canceled the Raptors are the biggest losers here. An all-star they traded is mindful of his being sent away. A young player has grief with the organization. The only way this has not happened is because the NBA believes Kawhi did not actually know what Uncle Dennis was doing. If he was not in the room when the requests were made, not the one signing the deal and he was miseducated/misrepresented.

15. The Clippers be doing Clipper things. At this point, just start a new franchise in Seattle, move the Clipper players over and leave all of the FO and Clipper executives behind. The LA Clippers are forever a black eye in the NBA.

17. Cancel the draft picks in the trade until the whole thing has been sorted out.

18. Dramatic changes to the clippers circumstances after the penalty and front office changes mean adding a second or third team and changing their outcome to reflect a new plan totally makes sense.

    With tanking off the table and the loss of picks, the strategy is almost completely opposite. Closing this deal before you really firm up a plan would be really stupid.

30. I guess I’m not sure what ballmer I could give the league to ensure that he won’t sue. The league already has that In the contracts that owners sign when they take possession of their franchise. So I’m not sure what they would be negotiating?
