As a Kings fan (who grew up in NYC and saw the Knicks, in playoffs at the original Madison Square Garden, beat Earl Monroe's Bullets and Lew Alcindor's Bucks on their way to a championship — RiP Cazzie and Willis, Go Clyde!), a Kings fan since the Spud Webb- Mitch Richmond, Brian Grant era, what I most want to see this year is the team surprise the NBA by becoming a winning team through a fine mix of offensive and defensive prowess, displayed in:
1) a supreme defensive roster/stopper with any five of these eight on the killing floor: Cardwell, Murray, Simmons, Achiuwa, Sharpe, Clifford, Sabonis and Hunter.
2) a '24 level Beam Team offensive (and rebounding) unit able to run up points against most teams, with any five of these nine up for the count against others: Acuff, Monk, Simmons, Lavine, Murray,, Hunter, Achiuwa, Reynaud and Sabonis.
The Kings' players, if coached well, could really surprise the NBA this year.
The type of coaching that effectively bounces between offensive and defensive lineups, against troublesome, effective opponents, requires a lot of analysis/scouting of opponents, and developing a plan for which rosters go against which mixes of other teams, which plan incorporates resting starters and getting others more minutes, amidst the 'neon flux' of a NBA season.

Beyond happy they’re on the pre and post game all season 🔥 wish they’d be the permanent play by play announcers but maybe one day it’ll happen 🤞🏻
