  6. The Knicks slightly overperformed in the playoffs last year- just about everyone shot lights-out. I think they'll have a good regular season but winning 4 playoff series in a row is tough. Surely they won't do it again

  7. Did you see Josh Hart on the broadcast at the US open a couple days ago? He essentially said the Knicks are being disrespected since so few people are picking them to repeat, so the team right now feels like they’re still the “hunters.” Gave me chills man let’s gooooooo

  11. The Knicks been great the last 3 years finals this year conf finals last year semis there year before that they lost that one because Brunson was a one man band all his people was hurt

  14. Teams aren't repeating like they used to, so naturally, whomever won the previous year aren't being considered as much. Okc and spurs both have better teams than the knicks, the finals does not sway that for me. 76ers might be better I don't know and it's harder conference

  16. Much like the nuggets, the Knicks faced many injured teams and several teams who would have made it to the finals like OKC and the Timberwolves were also injured. They also didn't have to go through the pacers, who likely would have would have beaten them again if healthy, and even if not, would have severely beaten them up and cause them to have three or four more losses.

  17. There are a couple of things.

    First off, the way things have gone, it’s hard to think any team can win two chips in a row.

    We thought the Celtics were going to be invincible but then injuries, new teams rising and other factors happened.

    The thing that stands out to me, that is not being discussed enough is the changes in how the game has been played.

    Shooting is still king, and every truly competitive teams have two way wings, but the two biggest game winning influence last year was preventing shots at the rim and getting extra possessions.

    I haven’t looked at the numbers so I’m not actually sure, but the reason the Knicks only won 53 games despite how dominant they became might just have been Richardson’s health.

    Some of the best offensive teams from last year wasn’t due to making the most three’s, that trend is actually falling off, though there is a certain quantity of threes that are needed to be made, it’s just getting the most isn’t important anymore.

    Offensive rebounding is actually one of the best trends and we are seeing good offenses that have bad shooting numbers comparatively because of it.

    There’s a reason the Celtics wanted to take Mitchel Robinson away from the Knicks and I don’t think Drumman can’t replace what he brought.

  22. Name a team in the East that can attack the weakness of the Knicks on defense? Any team that has a high-scoring point guard cannot stop Brunson, so that it a wash or advantage Knicks. And, the only team in the East that has a center who is better than KAT is a healthy Embiid, Miami, and no one else who is considered to be a playoffs bound team. New York Knicks should be better, the 2nd year in Coach Brown's system, chemistry, hunger (didn't the Villanova Knicks win two championships in college?), and they can get a center or a defensive-minded backup wing by the trade deadline. Name a team that has a better fitting and chemistry wise starting five with a bench that can get at least one or two players to produce. We are going back to the finals vs. OKC.

  23. i think the knicks are still the clear 3rd best team itl after okc and sa, but i think theyre gonna be pretty mediocre in the regular season, like a 4-5 seed. we see a lot of championship teams regress in the next regular season bc they focus so much on the playoffs
