AYY FIRST BUT SINCE IM FIRST BRO I BELIEVE 100 PERCENT WEMBY WILL BE THE SECOND BEST THIS UPCOMING YEAR BUT WITH THE WAY BRUNSON PLAYED AGAINST THEM HE SHOULD HAVE THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT AT LEAST UNTIL THE ALL-STAR BREAK THIS IS LIKE THE KD LEBRON PRIME DAYS I NEVER THOUGHT KD WAS BETTER THAN BRON BUT AFTER THE 2017/2018 SEASON HE CLAIMED IT UNTIL THE SEASON STARTED AND THEN AGAIN BRON WOULD BE SO DOMINANT THAT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY KD WAS BETTER SAME THING FOR THIS YEAR BRUNSON PLAYED LIKE THE BEST PLAYER ON EARTH AND SHOULD BE GIVEN THE TITLE THE BEST OR THE SECOND BEST ALL LOVE I APPRECIATE THE VIDEOS

  3. The "negative wishful thinking" against Wemby is understandable. In a game where height already covers for so many flaws, we intuitively understand there's a point at which pure physical size renders all other skills largely irrelevant. Imagine there was one 9', 400 lbs freak with the mobility of an average man and zero basketball ability. He'd still be a game-breaking defender standing there with his arms up. That wouldn't be fun to watch. The same freak could be a NHL goalie and literally block the entire net without knowing how to skate. So while Wemby isn't this mythical 9' man, he IS farther on that spectrum than anyone else and there's a difference between someone who's great due to skill (Bruson) and someone who's largely great due to size (Wemby, Shaq, etc.)

  4. Wemby jumped all the way to #2 because his team improved drastically this past season. His stats however didn't improve much. But he's getting all the credit😂

  5. Jason, go ahead and take SGA over Brunson. Sure, your team would win 63 games and my team with Brunson will win 58 games, but my team with Brunson will beat your SGA team in the playoffs when it actually matters. Jason, go ahead and you take Joker and I’ll take Wemby. Sure, Joker will put up more stats and historically great advanced metrics, but when we matchup in the playoffs Joker whittles and Wemby ascends. This overemphasis on an 82-game regular season is a MAJOR flaw in Jason’s thinking.

    Starting with the blatant and insane Steph slander years ago, and now with the continued Joker glaze/Brunson & Wemby disrespect, I officially put zero credibility into Jason Timpf’s lists. Jason does a good podcast with good insights, but his list making is antithetical to what actually makes someone great – winning in the playoffs.

  10. If you replace Wemby with SGA the spurs are the champions. Simple as that. Wemby just can’t get it done in the 4th. The Knicks were the 1st time he’s played a good team that wasn’t decimated by injuries, wolves and Thunder were injury riddled

  12. Jokic is a one dimensional player. All offense. No defense. While he is the reason why the Nuggets are contenders. He is also the reason why they could not surpass the Spurs nor the Thunder. How can you rank him as the best player in the NBA ahead of Wemby. Does not make sense. Just click-baiting. The wolves ran around them without Edwards. because there was no rim protection from their MVP center. McDaniels flat out disrespected their entire defense and Jokic is the weakest link in that defense. Wemby while being the top defender in the league scores 25 points a game.

  17. I think this is a really naive analysis.
    Wembanyama is still really young and constantly learning and evolving. Saying at this moment what his ceiling is and what he's capable of learning is "a bit bold". Just look at last season and the giant leap he made over the summer. Nobody expected the performance he did in the first Mavericks game. And if you compare how he played at the beginning of the season to the end of the season, you can see how he changed his game and developed his skills in real time.
    To me, it's obvious he will develop new skills, get bigger, stronger, and improve his game. What that will lead to and look like in the end, probably no one knows.
