8. My advice to Laker fans, stop with the small ball antics. Because you’re not going to win the West playing small ball. Have you looked at the starting lineups in the West, Houston, San Antonio, OKC, Denver and Minnesota? They will destroy that small ball lineup with second chance points and rebounds. That’s why the Lakers should start Austin Reaves at PG, Luka at SG, Zaire Williams at SF, Sandro PF and Walker Kessler at center

11. If the new ownership bought the Lakers for investment only, I call Steve Balmer and have him make an offer. He is very passionate about his team and would be a great owner. If he overpays, well he has so much money, if he loses a little, he will need a write off. As far as Williams, I said when they first got him, I would start him. He is young athletic and loves the Lakers.. But the problem is Reddick. He wont play young guys. I say start him, let him develop, and life with the growing pains. Adds so much defense to the starters and is lob threat. I would start Williams and Grimes along with the top three and keep Manu as my backup to Kesler

16. Honestly besides shooting (and even that’s iffy at best), I don’t see where Jake Laravia has the edge over Ziaire as a player or fit in the starting lineup. To me Ziaire has more upside as well

18. I don’t think anybody knows how exciting this signing acc is…obviously hoping he works well with them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays well and we end up resigning him.

22. Ziaire has enough of a wingspan, good enough with his 6'9" height & leaping ability, and he is a local guy as a kid in the greater LA area, is really pumped to be a Laker! He will shine as a Laker!

28. Ziaire significantly improved last season. His shot and form is one thing that definitely improved. Ziaire was taking movement 3’s and difficult shots that lowered his percentage, and shots he won’t be taking on the Lakers. That is something big for the Lakers. Ziaire also improved defensively. He plays stronger than his size, he was often the poa, but can guard 1-4. A very good and smart defensive player. This was a steal of a pickup for the Lakers. The only reason the Nets didn’t pick up his option is because they are rebuilding, and stacked at his position. With rookies, now Randle, and it came down to Minott or Ziaire, and the Nets ultimately chose Ziaire. It wasn’t that the Nets didn’t like Ziaire or think he was good, I actually think Ziaire at this point fits more on a contending team as opposed to a rebuilding team. Will be keeping an eye on him as I really liked him when he was on the Nets.

30. No offensive game at all but has length and chops as an off ball defender. Can fnish in transition and ok as a cutter. Doesn't help on the glass.

35. As fans, we need to be far more upset about this new ownership than we are. Look into these guys, if you think there's a shred of passion for the game left in ownership, you're a fool. Trevor, there's no way you think their main motivation wasn't strictly profitablity, they're BY FAR the most cold and emotionless owners we could possibly have. They tried to buy FIFA and the Vegas expansion team before us, they clearly have an agenda in mind to profit off of the new subscription based-business models that can be baked into sports, as well as their ties to betting platforms.
