The 2017 NBA Finals are remembered one way, but does the game film tell a different story?

Kyrie Irving has taken plenty of criticism for Cleveland’s loss to Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors, but when you go back and look at what actually happened on the court, there may be a much bigger part of the story that gets overlooked.

In this video, I revisit the 2017 Finals, break down Kyrie’s performance, and take a closer look at where things really went wrong for the Cavaliers.

  11. One thing I noticed from that series was the miscommunication on defense. I think Golden State was simply just a better team. They can chalk it up that Kyrie played bad that series and as a result loss, but they had many chances that series and couldn’t capitalize

  13. Everyone was on his numb nuts saying he was the best to ever step on a court like 10 years ago today. You couldn't convince a mf otherwise. Now everybody obsessed with what they ignored before concerning how much of a fraud they turned him into. Because it always was reputation built by the public that said he was the one.

You can find countless plays of LeBron (IMO deliberately) missing defensive assignments because he can't stop his opponent, and/or he doesn't want to be on a highlight reel, and/or he wants to save his energy for the offense to ensure his stats, and/or he wants to look like he's doing just enough to avoid the criticism. How the media says he has high basketball IQ and he always makes the right play is head scratching. This dude is the most manufactured superstar in the history of professional sports.

  18. Actually it's all very evident and obvious! Out of lebron's 6 finals losses, just see who were the FMVPs?? FIVE FMVPs from 4 FORWARDS! Those were supposed to be players that he could directly guard, punish, and impact game winning yet they instead became successful winning rings and FMVPs over his head!

Now we see why Punk Ass Rich Paul chose Max to do that wack ass podcast, he's been spewing those UnKlutch narratives and excuses years ago.   23. Can we admit that KD is the most overrated player in the NBA, I heard someone call him “reapa”😂😂😂 what? Team reapa? Dude has basically achieved nothing in his time in the NBA, i think his championship is the most fraudulent, undeserved and desperate win in NBA history the warriors would have gotten another one without him, KD isn’t the chosen one, he barely impacts a team.

  26. Did KD do a good job on Lebron? Nobody could stop Durant, Curry, Lebron or Kyrie during that time but Warriors had more ways to stop the Cavs as a team and they had more people who could score.
