According to Dan Woike of The Athletic, Bronny will be fighting for backcourt minutes behind Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Quentin Grimes, while also competing with Collin Sexton, Jaden Hardy and rookie Cameron Carr.
And Sexton could be the biggest problem.
He’s making $9.36 million next season, and one Lakers analyst believes that contract could eventually be flipped for a starting-caliber forward if Bronny proves he can handle backup guard duties.
But there’s another reality surrounding Bronny.
He’s LeBron James’ son, which naturally keeps the James connection, and plenty of attention, around the Lakers even after LeBron’s departure.
