4. I'd say a difference between Duren and Grimes taking the qualifying offer

   the Lakers gave Grimes a 15 mill per year average contract

   Duren is being talked about receiving a 38 mill per year average contract (similar per year average to what Kessler got – I think)

   if Grimes says I believe I'm worth 15 mill and takes a 9.5 mill qualifying offer, he's get 2/3rds of his perceived value

   if Duren takes the 9.5 mill qualifying offer and believes he's worth 40 or 50 mill, then he's getting 1/4 or 1/5th

   also, I never heard people say what Philly was offering Grimes instead of the QO

5. Other teams did not make an offer because Detroit said they would match. whether thats true or not. He’ll get a close to free agent max if he takes the qualifying offer. But that may be for a team like the kings.

   If he doesn’t want to play for Detroit anymore, he should just sign the qualifying offer and get this over with. The fact that he hasn’t implies that this is all negotiation tactics.

   I understand why Pistons fans are upset about the situation.

6. Horrible take @13:09. In the 2025–26 NBA regular season, 2 primary centers strictly averaged 20 or more points and 10 or more rebounds per game, with a third center (Jalen Duren) falling just fractionally short at 19.5 points per game.
