What Comes Next For The OKC Thunder Is Even Wilder

The OKC Thunder have been one the most interesting teams this NBA offseason. After losing to Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in the Conference Finals, Sam Presti has been able to create a Thunder roster that could once again compete for an NBA title next season. OKC has been able to keep their three best players in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, all while having a strong supporting cast despite the team having to trade long-time defensive star Lu Dort to the Atlanta Hawks, as well as trading core reserves Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins. By doing that, OKC was able to place their payroll below the second apron threshold and they now have a more financially flexible roster which allowed them to keep players such as Isaiah Hartenstein.
The Thunder still have to address contract extensions for guys such as Cason Wallace and soon Ajay Mitchell but as it appears, OKC is still going to be one of the deepest teams in the NBA next season. While the Thunder didn’t make any huge splashes in free agency or in the trade market this offseason unlike teams like Miami Heat with the Giannis trade, the Philadelphia 76ers with the LeBron James and Jaylen Brown acquisitions, the Denver Nuggets with DeMar DeRozan or the Raptors trade for Kawhi Leonard, the Thunder are still primed to be the NBAs next dynasty with their combination of core players, multiple draft assets, as well as elite front office management. Keep Cason next to SGA and Dub for as long as humanly possible. Develop Mara and Sober so we can trade Chet
Topic better play himself a contract or bye, cason has to show he is worth that money, Chet has to find a physical game and jdub has to show longevity. I expect the offense to be changed, lots less of shai high usage rate. One more shot at a title boys because things will change and everyone will be scrutinized.
Trading Dub or Chet for another 1 Future of Themselves + 3-4 future AJ Mitchell is not bad at all..
