A championship isn’t changing anything for New York Knicks Captain Jalen Brunson. Following the historic 2026 NBA Championship, the Knicks guard traveled back to his high school in Chicago, Illinois to reflect upon the journey it took him to become the champion he is today. From playing in state championships, to NCAA tournaments, to proposing to his high school sweetheart, to spending time with his newborn daughter, basketball and his roots have always been important to the bigger picture.

  8. Still so surreal to think of him as a champ. Like, all the dreams and visions we all had. "Oh wouldn't it be so cool if he actually did it?" And now he did it, and he's cemented in history forever.
