This is a set up to create media controversy. Jokic is still really good and one of the best but he is on the backside of his prime. ESPN is only saying Jokic is no 1 to bring attention to themselves.
Too bad its a team sport. I'd be curious where the "experts" who came up with the list, rank the Nuggets coaching staff, as well as the rest of the team. Heck rank the ownership versus other teams. Any team can have the number one player, doesn't mean squat though. Remember Jordan's early years before the Bulls ownership figured out "Jordan ball" wasn't enough? So they brought in the right players and coaches.

I think the real question is how many of these things need to hit in order for the nuggets to win another championship. Way too many to be plausible in my opinion unfortunately

I'm expecting CB to have a banner season. There isn't going to be some offensive explosion but he will get back to the best in the league transition finisher and consistent, solid defender that can credibly take on the Ant's and SGA's of the league in iso. People are going to complain because he doesn't become some kind of iso star offensive guy but he will fill the role he was signed for excellently. Assuming his ankle is fully healed.
