First, let’s get this out of the way. Signing an extension is NOT taking a pay cut. It’s taking a “bird in the hand” contract. That’s what Brunson did. The difference between Brunson and KAT is that Brunson was younger and there was the possibility of another big payday later in his career. Considering KAT’s age this will probably be his biggest contract. Knowing that, KAT is not going to agree to $200 million. He might agree to $240 million but, in my mind, that’s a coin flip.
Kat need to understand he is blessed to even have a shot at that type of money still wouldn't you want to set yourself up and sacrifice like Brunson did to win more its on him. If this team breaks up its because kat got greedy if he opts in to that 61 million it going to be very hard to stay under the second apron. Miles mcbride to me is a big part of this team i think he should be starting next to Brunson while hart comes off the bench he more of a sixth man than shamet. His Defense makes up for his size but he can get his own shot more than hart does most of the time its like 4 on 5 with the offense with mitch and hart we dont need that this year thats why we always get off to a bad start.
