The Lakers were also in a state of disadvantage because with Luka and Reeves on a contract they didn't have money to get Kessler with out punting on this season and signing everyone to 1 year contracts.

In all that time Walker should have been in much better shape physically than he was. Especially with him sitting out a whole season. Luka will carry him and make his stats look better but he won’t actually be a better player. He’s lazy and will take this money the lakers gave him and goof off the rest of his career with his Miss America.
