I think there will be a lot of internal development this season helped by the fact that Tatum, PG13 and Mitch will sit out a ton of games (18 back to back games plus injuries) This will give minutes to all the bench guys like Hugo, Walsh, Ron and Luka who all will have many DNP-CDs and 2 minute games on a healthy roster. I pray Joe goes for the Spurs tactic of resting all the vets with injury issues on back to backs and keep their minutes in the low 30s or lower. It’s a win-win in my eyes. More development and less wear on the core.
I really enjoy your coverage and your insights on the Celtics and I feel like you have real potential to develop as a serious sports media personality. That said, I'd offer some constructive criticism – I would suggest that you work on and practice slowing down when you are talking on camera or on a podcast. I think your delivery of what you're trying to get across would be much more effective and – more professional sounding. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work.
Great show
Really insightful/informative pod on Celts training camp happenings!
Thought it was interesting to hear Craig L/1 person creates all the development plans.Would be fascinating to hear more on them/that person and if they coordinate w/the personal coaches.
And it is awesome to hear the Conley/Pritchard relationship.A lot of players correlate break out years to such a relationship. That floater/those inbetween shots are huge for smaller players.Especially against the best/playoff defenses/rim protectors and as players age.Was huge for Parker/Ginoboli's long runs.
Also think Conley will be great for the young wings in season too. Will help them mentally with the sacrificing mentioned on last pod during games. And on the court will help.Hugo.and Walsh understand what other pg's are trying to do while their defending them. And Baylor/D.Mitchell if they run the offense.
For future might be interesting to see.if possible finagle a specific plan for Pg13 out of somebody on Celts- will have such a huge trickle down affect on the rest of the roster in terms of minutes and on court role.
Love hearing the training camp impressions, Noa. It will be interesting to see how this new group gels once they hit the floor together.
This year will be the get PG13 and Mike Conley rings campaign.
Conley was a low key brilliant signing by Brad. Mike hasn't won all those sportsmanship and citizenship awards for nothing. In the wake of the JB trade, and with the expectation for internal growth from the youngsters, Conley is exactly the kind of mentor and contributor this team needs.
Gotta bring back the shoe rack. Two words: product placement baby! (Okay three words)
Center position goes 5 deep. One season removed from losing KP, Al and Luke. Common Brad W.
Cenac will stay in Boston. He is the only true power forward on the squad not named Tatum. Gonna have a Hugo like role and impact is my guess.
Worth a trip to Maine to watch Chris play!
