The Raptors plan to keep Kawhi young FOREVER
The Toronto Raptors have a 3 year window with Kawhi Leonard, but early indications are they plan to make that window a bit longer. And they’re not anticipating any steep falloffs soon. With medical science where it is, there’s a really curious question the Raptors are exploring. What if Kawhi could still be awesome at 38? And how do we get him there.
With adjustments to his minutes, load, usage and several tweaks towards his playstyle, Toronto can once again be the team to answer one of the biggest questions in NBA history. How can we keep Kawhi Leonard healthy for 3-4 rounds in the playoffs?
This is more than just load management and keeping his spirits high. This is a radical undertaking to preserve one of the biggest investments the franchise has ever made. And to ensure that Kawhi will have 2, 3 or even 5 chances to win a championship in Toronto.

I like that you’re trying out new formats and shorter videos to accompany your long form vids, keep up the good work Rob.
I see the strategy. Even for someone like me who loves supporting your channel and is invested in following your deep dives and various content, I think its great to take advantage of your best work and perspectives to provide things one doesn't have to dig through several long videos or catch in the moment to understand as you go along.
I think more people will also develop an appreciation for your consistency. Great takes, great video, love it man. I was a member around this time last year until Feb. 2026, I might have to re-up soon brother.
Peace.
Easy with the F-bombs. I listen to you with my kids on drives
Just from watching some of the footage that had come out I can see that Kawhi and Darko is a vibe, and I couldn’t be happier.. that’s awesome
Also, Darko could be that perimeter defender the team needs 😅 Seriously though, you get the feeling the whole organization is anticipating a major jump this season. It feels like the 'Bobby Webster' era is asserting itself. Mostly it is Darko who deserves the credit. I think he and Kawhi go way back ❤
I was gonna reccomend this format to you, glad you're doing this.
I love that rocky balboa reference lol. I think kawhi likes darkos bluntness and audacity. Darko once got fined for critizing refs, against the lakers. That speaks volume. He'll back up his guys till the end.
Match made in heaven. This season is gonna be awesome between those two. He got his modern day jordan.
I just hope they win the chip man. I've been a kawhi fan for the longest and all I want is for him to get one last ring before he retires.
If you met kawhi, what two questions would you want to ask him?
Talking about "no listen to anybody". There's Guerrero jr. He thinks he knows everything….
Thanks Pen…
Wow. Heard it on your live and it was good. hearing it again in isolation was even better. Didn't get drowned out by so your other gems.
nice video bro. And agreed . The fans and hoopers know coach darko wants to teach kawhi int the raptors defensive obsessed, fast pace , pushing the ball forward moving the ball 3 second rule pass, drive shoot,
Kahwi was raised by Popovich no wonder he respects Darko.
I love the thumbnail
well said
