  1. This team is old (top 5 in oldest average age) and Powell was a huge loss (they fall to 30th in the league without his made 3's last season).

Giannis was extremely injured last season, if he goes down this roster looks pretty bad, Bam/Wiggins aren't carrying the Heat to anywhere past 8th – 10th with aged/hobbled Klay/THJ. Bam/Giannis take up similar space on the court. Bam isn't a very reliable stretch big. They can't stagger Portis with either for stretch shooting unless they shift Giannis or Portis down to SF and then they'll get exposed defensively.

People are overreacting to one meaningless preseason game. It's a long season.

Remove Kawhi from the Raps and they're still 4-6 in the East based on young budding talent alone, remove Giannis from the Heat and.. you get my point.

The Heat are really low upside, lack bench/big man depth, and have suspect shooting. They better hope Giannis stays healthy.

  2. The perfect offense for Giannis is a PG who can dribble but doesn't need the ball (like Jrue Holiday) and can shoot competently, a center who can shoot threes (like Brook Lopez), and a SG and SF who can shoot. You can't have a ball dominant guard with him and you can't have a center that can't shoot, like Mitchell Robinson. But one kicker is if he's off the court or hurt, this perfect Giannis offense has to shift to no Giannis, and when that doesn't work as well everyone's gonna be upset they don't have a second playmaker. Then when they lose in the playoffs Giannis is going to exert pressure on them to do upgrades or else he won't sign. But yeah it's gonna be great.

  3. People overreacting to a preseason game, with the Raptors playing mostly weird experimental SCRUB line ups, WITH LITERALLY THE WORST starting 5 IN THE ENTIRE NBA, in POETL, he SUCKS. Whomever in Toronto GAVE HIM that CONTRACT DESREVES TO BE FIRED, ON THE SPOT. Poetl's slowfootedness, lack of spacial awareness, and low basketball IQ allowed the Heat to score 41 points in the first, after that they just kept up that 20 point discrepancy, so its a win, but not indicative of SUCCESS, the heat will be good, but maybe a top 5 seed, they aint a top 2 seed in the east
