Knicks Preseason Is HERE! Biggest Questions Before Game 1

Knicks Preseason Is HERE! Biggest Questions Before Game 1

Knicks basketball is BACK! The defending NBA champions begin their preseason, and there are some major questions to answer before the road to repeat officially begins.

CP The Fanchise is joined by New York Daily News Knicks beat reporter Kristian Winfield for a special edition of Knicks Weekly, breaking down what he’s seen during training camp and the biggest storylines to watch as the Knicks prepare for their preseason opener in Philadelphia.

How does Jalen Brunson look coming off his wrist procedure? What should Knicks fans make of Karl-Anthony Towns’ weight loss entering a potential contract-extension season? And how will Mike Brown manage a crowded guard rotation featuring Brunson, Deuce McBride, Jose Alvarado and Tyler Kolek?

One of the biggest questions surrounds McBride. With Deuce eligible for a new deal and minutes becoming harder to find, could his contract situation eventually force the Knicks into a difficult decision?

The guys also break down the battle for the final roster spots, including James Wiseman and Drew Eubanks, why New York still needs another center after losing Mitchell Robinson, and which Eastern Conference team could pose the biggest threat to the Knicks’ title defense.

CP The Fanchise then gives his biggest things to watch during preseason, including:
– Jalen Brunson’s wrist
– Karl-Anthony Towns’ new look
– Deuce McBride’s contract situation
– The Knicks’ crowded guard rotation
– James Wiseman’s push for a roster spot
– Replacing Mitchell Robinson
– Mike Brown’s small-ball options
– The Knicks’ road to a potential repeat
Knicks fans: What is YOUR biggest question heading into preseason? And which player are you watching closest?
