Utah’s FORGOTTEN trade asset + 5 trade options
The Utah Jazz have a trade asset that isn’t being talked about that could be great for a potential trade with multiple teams including the Orlando Magic, Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Brooklyn Nets.

Dude how many ads did you put in this one video
Ok hoopsnerd. Great video but I wanna talk something else. Can you call your boy Hardy up and let him know I’m super frustrated that in their preseason debuts Acuff got 17 FGA, Boozer got 9 FGA, Wagler got 15…and DP got 5. We did the same thing with Ace. “Bring him along slowly” and “He needs time to adjust to NBA speed” and the worst “he hast to earn his minutes” For the love of all that is good, draw up some plays for this guy. Give him a no questions asked green light. Let him get some confidence. Help him succeed. Spot holding him back. We waited 4 painful years!!! Svi, Hinson, Alexander, Ingram and Nurk all got more looks than DP. Rant over. #freeDP!!!!
Don't trade Lauri, he's good.
Ads now???? Really??? 👎 Cmon Lad you're better than this.
1) Which players on your list are better than what the Jazz will keep, amongst the 14 signed?
2) If they're better, are they better than that player alone or does it require a pick(s)?
3) Are there consolidation trades you'd make for these players that make the Jazz better?
Helpful TPE Info for any curious:
Example:
Team A has a $15M TPE.
Team B trades away a player making $12M.
Team A absorbs the $12M player into its TPE.
Team B receives only draft picks.
Result:
Team A's TPE is reduced/used up by the $12M absorbed salary.
Team B creates a new approximately $12M TPE from the outgoing salary.
A real-world shorthand would be:
"Team A traded a TPE and a first-round pick for Player X."
But under the hood:
Team A uses its existing TPE to absorb Player X.
Team B receives the pick.
Team B creates a new TPE from the salary it sent out.
A TPE cannot be combined with outgoing player salary to increase the amount you can take back.
So if Team A has a $15 million TPE, they can do:
✅ TPE + picks → player making up to $15M
✅ TPE + cash + picks → player making up to $15M
But generally not:
❌ TPE ($15M) + player making $10M → take back player making $25M
The TPE is used on its own to absorb salary. It isn't aggregated with player salaries for matching purposes.
That's why you'll often see trades described as:
"Team A acquired Player X into a trade exception and sent a first-round pick."
rather than
"Team A traded a player plus a trade exception for Player X."
