Bill Simmons Is ALREADY Backtracking on the Miami Heat đź‘€

Bill Simmons is already starting to rethink his stance on the Miami Heat after getting his first look at Giannis Antetokounmpo with this team.

After being skeptical of Miami, Simmons admitted he might have been too “glass half empty” and pointed to how good Giannis looked, the space he creates for his teammates and why Andrew Wiggins could be in the perfect situation playing next to him.

Ernest from @miamiheattalk joins me to break down Simmons’ comments, what we saw from Giannis in the preseason, why this Heat offense could be better than people expect and just how scary Miami can be defensively.

Is the NBA starting to realize it underestimated the Miami Heat?

  1. It might be early to sound the alarm on an undrafted prospect but Ian Schieffelin might be someone to keep an eye on in the preseason and possibly beyond. He's 6"8, 240, had a pretty lengthy college career – 4 years as a clemson tiger and then 1 year as a tight end. He put up 11pts, 3rebs and 1ast in 10 mins against the raptors on 4-4 shooting. 1 3p and 2-2 from the free throw line. Too soon to say what he'll be but the pedigree sounds solid to say the least and that's as perfect a first outing as one can reasonably ask for lol. A taller and bigger back up for Wiggins would be absolutely perfect for the roster.

  2. In what world would anyone take Middleton over Wiggins??? Wiggins is a former number one pick and is the main reason Goldenstate won that last Championship. Wiggins is way better than Middleton but he doesnt want to be a number one option.
