7. As a C’s fan, since we won the title, the JT JB dynamic was not working in the playoffs. 26. Everyone here probably knows way more about basketball than I do, but it seems like the style of ball Boston prefers to play fits JT over JB. And while I’m sure the two men still respect each other, it wouldn’t be surprising if they grew apart. They had been battling together for almost a decade, but last year JT was coming back from a horrific injury while JB led the team. They likely weren’t in the same head space. Plus, they both make way too much for the new CBA. One player getting traded is not surprising.
