LaMelo Stole Ant’s Rookie of the Year. Now They Share One Ball
LaMelo Ball beat Anthony Edwards for 2021 Rookie of the Year, 84 first-place votes to 15. Five years later, Ant’s Timberwolves went out and got him.
Minnesota sent Naz Reid, a 2033 first-round pick and three pick swaps to Charlotte. LaMelo’s first game as a Wolf: 11 points, 3 assists and a 19-point win over the Bucks. Ant’s review: “He plays like his hair is on fire.”
Two nights later he set Ant up for back-to-back threes, but in the same game they couldn’t even decide who was taking the shot. Their first real test: October 21 in Miami against Giannis and Bam.
