  3. Great extension. PP is a great 2nd tier player. And an excellent shooter. I think PP running the second team is the best 6th man in the NBA. LFG Celtics ❤️‍🔥🔥☘️🏀

So if I'm understanding this correctly, Boston is paying Pritchard 7.8 million this season, then 8.3 million next season and then, with this extension, 22.1 million in the 28-29 season, three full seasons from now, and then there's no more guaranteed money. So Pritchard's age 29, 30 and 31yo seasons are under contract for 38.2 million total or 12.7 million/season? That's crazy value!
    Win/win Pritch all but doubles his guaranteed career earnings and Celtics now have the deepest, most cost controlled, most talented roster in the league. I believe every player but Garza and Conely are under contract for at least the next two seasons. Brad is the Michael Jordan of Red Auerbachs.

  5. What I’m hearing about the mutual option is that it’s different than MLB where both parties need to opt in.

    In the NBA, only one party needs to opt in, meaning Pritchard could be MVP and the Celtics could opt in. Or Pritchard could have a career ending injury and he could opt in.

    So unless both parties opt out, then that 2nd year is guaranteed

  8. glad for my guy to get paid but this was a slight overpay. I wouldnt have paid PP more than 20M per. Still i"m happy that thats settled. Hes been underpaid on his current contract anyway.

    Now can we get garza an extension?
