Ben Simmons Tears His Achilles In Practice, is OUT for the Season

1. @Sac Town Sports you guys recently reported.. Christie discussed beginning twice-daily practices during the Kings' 2026 training camp. Twice a day practices?? That's crazy!

2. Kings training needs to be investigated why all these injuries ?!????

3. Pissed this happened pressure on DOUG TO GET IT TOGETHER AND SCOTT NEEDS TO MAKE SOME TRADES AND ACQUIRE SOME PICKS this team is in quicksand, also the only new rotational player not picked up through draft, gone!

8. The only benefit to this is you have better shooters around Acuff. Plus he doesn’t have to get used to playing with another point guard. Hopefully this helps Hunter knowing he has a better shot at playing time

12. They tried to keep their starters from being injured by not having them play much during the preseason, but Ben still gets injured. The basketball gods truly cursed the Kings. But then again, the basketball gods gave them a coach that brought them to their first playoff appearance since 2006. And what did they do? They spit on the basketball gods' eye and got rid of the coach. And they have been doubly cursed ever since.

13. Matt, I am not sure why the Kings have so many injuries. I don't really see other teams having as many injuries so I am not sure if the Kings are doing something different in their pre-season routine? I don't know. I will ask you this: When you work out at the gym and you crush your chest and legs. The next day, do you go back to the gym and work out your chest and legs again? No. I wonder if the players are getting enough rest between workouts. They go so hard and have no real days off. That is a lot of stress on a player's body if there are no rest days. I think that is part of the shorter preseasons in the NBA.

19. I think training camp being overly taxing and poorly planned out is a big reason for injuries all over the league. Having two practices in a day is asinine. Youre never gonna have to play 2 games in one day, so what good does it do to practice twice? Its supposed to be a ramp up, not a navy seal style boot camp that grinds guys into the ground. So stupid

24. Simmons was gonna stink up the locker room by game 25 or sooner. I feel bad for the guy I guess, but I am not convinced from 2 pre-season games that this guy was gonna turn things around for the Kings. It's time to focus on ONE TIMELINE. Acuff is the future and should have the keys.
