The NBA is Back! NBA Opening Night!! #nba
The NBA is officially BACK today, October 20th, and we’re kicking off the season with THREE games on opening day!
First, at 3 PM Eastern, we have the Celtics versus Pistons. Detroit actually won 60 games last season, finishing FIRST in the Eastern Conference. So can Cade Cunningham prove that wasn’t a one-year fluke against Jayson Tatum and a Boston team that just lost Jaylen Brown?
Then at 7, things get interesting. The Knicks are raising their FIRST championship banner since 1973, and their opponent is LeBron James and Jaylen Brown’s NEW Philadelphia 76ers!
Both players will make their regular-season Philly debuts alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, against the same Knicks team that SWEPT Philadelphia in last year’s playoffs.
And finally, at 9:30, we have Wembanyama and the Spurs hosting Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder. This is a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals, where San Antonio eliminated OKC in SEVEN games before eventually losing to New York in the Finals.
All three games will air on NBC and Peacock, and personally, I think that Sixers-Knicks matchup might be the most interesting.
Which game are you looking forward to the most?
