The Sacramento Kings’ Season Opener was a Total Nightmare – The Matt George Podcast

1. Matt come on what do you mean this game is not who keegan murray is? What have we seen otherwise to tell us this isnt what he is? He had a good rookie 3pt% and fell off a cliff

2. Acuff needs to pass the goddamn ball!! I’ve never EVER seen a rookie have that bad of a shooting night in my life!
   No answer for Darius Garland who looked like prime Kyrie!

3. I knew after Ben Simmons got hurt, this year would be absolutely abysmal, with nothing even worth paying attention to, not saying they would be a playoff team with Simmons, but at least watchable. Our only hope after this season is we end up getting the #1 pick for the next draft, but they changed the lottery rules, probably because Adam Silver knows the King's will have the worst record in the League this season, i don't even know what to say anymore.

4. 140 million waste. nobody shuld yell his name next home game if plays like this.. friday game better step it up or the boo birds will be heard. 💯

5. They need KPJ’s scoring and passing rn. His numbers are better than Monk’s too

6. First fan cast was awesome. I’m thankful for those and I think they will make the season watchable

7. We want to think these players are better than they are because we cling to a hope that isn’t truly there. Best players are empty calorie guys and everyone else performs below expectations because expectations are blindingly optimistic. Hunter and Keegan have been in decline for years when they each should be in their prime by now. Sabonis and Lavine will always look ok in the stat sheet but don’t affect winning. It’s exhausting listening to the kings announcers try to find silver linings in everything. I wish they would just say “this organization is awful! Turn off your TV folks and do something better with your time.” We always look forward to the season and it never fails to disappoint. This organization and ownership is like “when you have been through 5 divorces it’s time to start looking in the mirror!”

9. We've seen this more then once with Acuff, during preseason he was chucking as well. He is talented but this comes down to coaching once again. Sabonis played great why only 5 shots, Levine played well Acuff didnt look for him at all. Also trade Levine to Detroit or GSW already

10. We need a real PG. DAJ plays playground ball and that won't work in the NBA.

19. Sabonis is the all-time greatest center in Sacramento era. Levine & Domas is their best players. Keegan plays on his twin Kris level. Not good⁉️

20. Kings need to trade trade trade, Acuff, Keegan, Sabonis, get some ballers and draft pick….gotta make some deals…. Christy style don’t work….gm is way to pc too and of course ownership is not good either.

26. It was not a "Total Nightmare" if you expected it as most everyone who predicted Sacramento to be the WORST team in the NBA this year. Blowouts will be the norm. You should talk about the San Francisco 49ers on your Sacramento podcast instead as they are looking more and more likely the Kings of Football this season. When Sacramento shows at least some willingness to beeping brawl then they deserve time on your podcast. Otherwise, just talk about the 49ers as…

27. Somebody better put a brake check on Acuff. I’m all for Acuff 100% but I can tell already he’s playing for stats. And Keegan Murray is just soft. Reminds me of a private kid basketball player who never played street ball in his life. He plays with no attitude nor swag. And Doug Christie needs to resigns.

28. i was actually impressed how acuff was able to create lot of good shot opportunities for himself. he just missed them. the only part of his game that worries me is the 3pt shooting range. in college, he looked comfortable only out to just beyond the 3pt line. but the nba line is further out, and he seems to be struggling extending his range.
