Brooklyn Nets’ WILD Comeback vs Cavs Falls Short | Where MPJ, Randle MUST Step Up + Mikel’s Odd Role

1. What were your top Nets takeaways through the first two games of the season? What adjustments do you think they should make?

2. Talking about a rookie coming off the bench for 2 games like its a "dilemma" is genuinely childish behavior. If you dont understand whats happening you are just slow

3. Jordi gave a very clear abswer about this and you just didnt understand what he was saying. Thats on you. He said he cant be worried about two players because he needs to be focused on an entire team and whats best for everyone. You dont get it because you have no clue what you are talking about. Its a simple concept

4. I get you love mikel but seriously get his nuts out of your mouth. I can promise you everyone in the building is rooting for him to be as successful as humanly possible. Not starting him for his first 2 NBA games says absolutely 0 about what the nets, jordi or anyone else should think about him as a player. Its not like if we start him all our problems go away and its not like if he doesnt start he is incapable of developing. If the second unit is clunky then part of that is on him to adjust too. A lot of guys in the second unit would look better if they were on the court with mpj, randle and egor. Its not like we wont be expecting him to play with those second unit players ever if he does become starter so he needs to get acclimated with the entire roster.

5. Nailed it. All that offseason talk from Julius and MPJ about competing every night , the team being overlooked and underrated, 50 wins, blah blah blah. Just for them to come out and go through the motions? Play with 0 passion or purpose? Give me a break. Jordi needs to hold them accountable and sit them if they won’t defend and compete to win. I’d much rather watch a young hungry group of guys that want to be out there than these 2 journeymen vets feel entitled as the key cogs of this team.

6. It should be Day’Ron’s responsibility to set the tone and be our defensive anchor but he’s not able to fill in those shoes so far as a starter when he’s in danger of fouling out in 20 minutes so far every game. MPJ and Randle need to play their role on defense as well but that should not be their main responsibility when their main focus should be on the offensive end raising our floor. Losing Claxton was a big loss not just for our rim protection but also on the perimeter during a switching scheme and I’m not sure Sharpe has it in him to fill in for that role

7. Jordi is at fault. Playing Egor with Ellis. Then Traore with Mikel. Swap them. He’s too stubborn. Frustrating.

8. SM didn't address the defense and rim Protection. The Eastern Conference is tough this season. Can't win enough games and this roster going to give up 220 points a night🤦🤦. The pick next yr going to be top pick in the draft

9. MPJ isnt a stopper but he had 4 steals. Its really on the coach. Jordi gotta go. Need new vision for this team. Jordi is good for the tank. Not for young developing team. They need a veteran coach. And a veteran point guard. And a center. When the whole team looks lost, that's coaching.

10. I show Porter with only 1 TO. He had 4 steals, maybe you looked at the wrong column, I have a hard time complaining about his game tonight. 28 and 9 on 56/44/100?

11. The Nets should trade for a high level defensive Big that can protect the rim at an elite level while keeping their core of Julius Randle, MPJ, Dëmin and Brown.

If they pull that off, this team will surprise the league big time.

12. We need to play minott over clowney and I think give Chaney a shot at the 5 bc Wagner sucks

13. Wow! Professional athletes "showed some fight" 🙄😒 16-66

14. You are clearly a big MPJ hater for no reason. You’re acting like MPJ plays no defense and he literally had 4 steals. You sat there and read off his stats and completely glossed over his 4 steals because it doesn’t fit your “bad defense” narrative. He also had a great defensive possession where he stayed in front of James harden (who was completely impotent this game outside of 2 bs flagrant foul 3 pointers) and drew an offensive foul on him when he got hit in the face which you conveniently forgot. MPJ also had 3 steals in their 1st game which you also didn’t mention in the previous podcast. The only reason I follow the Nets is because of MPJ and it’s clear that many people in this fan base do not deserve him, especially you Erik!
