2. It's great to see Luka breaking through some of those bad narratives in the wider media. When it comes to Bill simmons, he is a Celtics homer and to me, not objective about much of anything.

3. The “other guys” besides Luka are doing their job. AR, Walker, down the list. Some fantastic shooting too!

9. Combined record of Lakers opponents so far 27-44. Walker Kessler was already a non factor in 4 of our games.

   There are only 3 reasons we can have some hope to make the playoffs.

   1. Luka
   2 JJ Reddick correctly identified the lineups that make sense from the very start, which I never saw coming. Benching Grimes and Mamu and playing Thybulle and Zaire is incredibly savy. Last year he needed half the season and an injured AR to realize Smart fits the starting 5 ideally. This time he went in with the right group from day 1. Honestly that is super impressive.
   3. Thybulle and Zaire are playing their best basketball perhaps ever.

11. the MVP race has lost all meaning to me. the fact that the people who are voting, get to drive the narrative of who should be the MVP invalidates it all. especially when the talk and predictions start LESS THAN 10 GAMES into the season. they make their prediction and will move every goal post to make sure they get it right. It’s ridiculous. The NBA, if they care to put any honor back to the MVP, ought to either put more restrictions on the media or (my preference) let the players vote.

12. I'm more pissed off seeing Dalton go off in his Knicks debut. Why the hell did we keep Bronny?

    One comment says that Lebron wanted to play against Bronny in Christmas.

    The Lakers have already paid its end of the bargain to the Devil by drafting Bronny, playing Bronny, and not waiving his guaranteed contract even if said Devil went incognito and eventually picked the Sixers.

    The Lebron era is thankfully over. We don't owe him anything. There was no reason to pick a more competent player over a player who should never have played in the NBA in any other scenario.

We screwed Dalton from the start by putting Bronny on the cover of every summer league game, giving Bronny minutes before him to start the season, Bronny getting a standing ovation every time he checks in while Dalton who was our 1st rd pick went. We traded him brought him back and basically turned him to an after thought while Bronny was getting undeserved playoff minutes. We did all of that and Bronny still looks like a bum who can’t contribute for the team. Sr left Jr on purpose because he fulfilled his mission in tricking us into drafting his son and now he’ll get to play against his son because we’re still going along with that clown show

15. I don't get why people are so excited to be a middle of the pack team

16. Honeslty I think Luka was taking it easy in this game, but he still got 40.

18. I want walker to get more rebounds but other than that he is pretty good

19. Luka had a 60 pts, 20 rebounds and 10 assists. No one has had a game like this.

20. Given the degree of difficulty on some of Lukas' shots, I thought he was practicing for a HORSE competition. Fun to watch though!

21. I luv this team- we are so going in the right direction concerning roster building & financial! Obviously, we dont have enough- but we are ready to grab those final pieces by February or summer at the latest!

He will never win an MVP simply because of the voters! when you think of it, why on earth it is based on the voters' votes? how about ask the smartest mathematicians, data analysts & AI so the award will be given to the most deserving and accurate without human feelings! imagine winning a championship because they voted that team! when you have the likes of Wilbon, Simmons & Nichols obviously spreading hate towards Luka, he has no chance!

23. That AR for Bam suggestion is poor knowledge on how you make trades. Yes, AR is not a defensive ace, but c'mon! Like Jovan's point, if you compare Austin against the top players in the league, you have to take into account his ability to assimilate to what JJ would like to run especially on offense. I give AR a longer leash or more patient with his defense is because relative to his role in this team, he has a lot of responsibility on top of guarding the other guards that is not the likes of Steph or top PG. He is serviceable in terms of defense. You can't simply replace his 3 level scorer, main or secondary playmaking, slashing ability, gravity, etc. He can be the main guy for a few games and he is not 1 dimensional. He may not be 2-way player, but he is a legit number 2 for a team who wants to contend for a championship.
