The Charlotte Hornets Ruined EVERYTHING

The Charlotte Hornets made a baffling decision trading LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves out of nowhere after one of their most successful seasons in decades. Now, they’re awful and just got annihilated by the Boston Celtics in a rout that showcased how bleak everything is for them this NBA season.

  1. I thought the Sacramento Kings made the worst moves breaking up the light the beam team, yet I feel this move is worse 😖
I'm still trying to understand the logic behind it 🤷🏿‍♂️🤦🏾

  2. Adding DiVincenzo to this Timberwolves offense will make it absolutely elite. Lamelo has been a perfect fit

Charlotte's only assets they got from this trade is Naz Reid, swaps that are essentially worthless, and an unprotected pick when Lamelo and Ant will be 32.

  3. Counterpoint: The East got a lot better.
Lamello would be at best the 5th best guard in the conference (Brunson, (Brown), Maxey, Young, Mitchell, Cade) and they got stuff for him and Bridges to stay out of where the Bulls ended up with Lavine and Derozan.
They weren't gonna be better than the Wizards, Hawks or even the Magic with both of them. They're good but there are levels to this and he ain't that guy.

  4. Bro, this LaMelo trade really hurt me and I’m not even a Charlotte fan. They had a little ounce of relevancy and they decided to trade a generational point guard. What did they think was gonna happen? Now back to NBA purgatory they go.

  5. Lol this is still a good trade for the Hornets you cant count on Lamelo long term. Hornets will have capspace they can literally steal Dosunmu from the Wolves next year.

How is this a bad trade compared to say the PG trade? Bait video smh

  6. lamelo trade was considerate good because lamelo had a negative value at the start of last season. he had missed more than half of the games for 3 seasons, everyone wanted the org to trade him so they waited until he got some value and traded

  7. I think last season was an anomaly. Let's not forget they were 3-6 at this point last season as well and something like 11-22 at the end of December. 13 of their 33 wins after Jan 1 were against tanking teams in a historic tanking season. With the new rules this season, even the supposed "cupcake" games are gonna be dogfights

  8. As a hornets fan i have maintained the same stance since the trade went down. I think the injury concerns, wanting to ship him etc are a little valid, i just don’t like what they got back. Pick swaps from a good team just doesn’t mean much. If it was different draft comp i might’ve been able to see a vision but instead we got the worst of both worlds. I hope im wrong but i genuinely think we fleeced ourselves, and not a day goes by that I don’t believe i could better GM this team.

  9. Everyone jumps on the bandwagon now but i remember a surprisingly amount of people AGREEING with thr trade and dumping on Melo saying hes "not a winnijg player"

These hypocrites are incredible. Maybe not "you" specifically" but most youtubers agreed with "selling high" on Melo and they didnt put up a stink when the ridiculous trade happened. Casuals dont understand that Passing and Ball handling are the 2 most important skills in the game and Lamelo is ELITE at both.

Lamelo is a superstar is one of the rare elite true PGs in the league.

  10. If the Hornets really wanted to get the most out of trading LaMelo, they could've done that before the draft and potentially put themselves in position to draft his replacement immediately. Waiting until AFTER the draft to do that was stupid. Also, was waiting until this season's deadline too much of a gamble?

  11. It’s the charlotte hornets. They have been the worse team in decades. Don’t hold your breath because all they care about is making sure they’re relevant enough but they are not willing to do everything to win a championship. But you gotta give credit where credit is due. The GM set them up for a long term success but you are not going to win today. No one wants to go to charlotte because of that reason alone. They’re not risk takers and they’re not willing to pay the player.

  12. Lamelo I think is such a interesting player, he doesn’t need to score a crazy number of points, shoot very efficiently, play good defence, or get a crazy number of assists, or even have a great assist/turnover ratio, his impact is still so undeniable, he makes offences tick
