Last-minute Changes, Reports, and News, Ahead of Rockets vs Suns

Rockets vs Suns preview: Kevin Durant and the 7-2 Houston Rockets visit Devin Booker and the 2-5 Phoenix Suns tonight after a 22-turnover loss to Minnesota.

Houston lost its first home game of the season on Wednesday, 117 to 107 to the Timberwolves, after leading by 2 going into the 4th quarter. Tonight the Rockets go to Phoenix without Clint Capela and Steven Adams, which leaves Alperen Sengun with almost nobody behind him. For the Suns, Mark Williams is out, Jordan Goodwin is doubtful and Rasheer Fleming is questionable.

It is another chapter of the Kevin Durant trade: Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Khaman Maluach, the No. 10 pick Phoenix got from Houston, on one side, Durant on the other. We break down the matchups that decide it: the turnovers (opponents average 18 a game against Phoenix), the rebounding gap, Booker against Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr.’s three-point shooting, plus the betting line and our Rockets vs Suns prediction. Sengun is averaging 22.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.1 assists, Devin Booker is averaging 25.4 points a game, and Kevin Durant is averaging 20.8 points on 12.4 shot attempts a game.
