  4. Why would you trade a player like Nique, when the problem is the coaching staff-Doug Christie, which will not be rehired next season?
    For a team that doesn’t have any direction/identity, this is a ridiculous move, unless there is another move in the works.
    Good luck to Nique, as he is going to a team that actually has an identity/direction, and an actual coaching staff that is solid/champions.
    At least he got his ticket out of basketball hell to basketball heaven.

  9. Sharp and Leaky Black took his minutes. Someone offers you two 2nds for the 5th guard on the worst team in the league, I guess you take it. Makes me think they expect to get a guard in the Sabonis trade.

    Yax + Podz + 2027 First for Sabonis? Podz would eventually take LaVines spot. Acuff + Podz + Murray + Yax + Cardwell/Max is a fun core.

  11. Deuce said Nique didn’t get a chance here and that’s baffling to me. He played plenty his rookie season, summer league, pre-season, etc. Even after those opportunities he still looked lost and unconfident. I expected him to stand out in summer league or preseason this year, but nope, he actually regressed. Many players WISH they had the “limited opportunity” that Clifford was given since being drafted…

  19. No matter what the Kings do they will get clowned on for it. I don’t think Nique is very good at anything on the nba level but of course this sets up for him to now overachieve and make them look dumb. I’d just wish they could’ve done better than 2nd rounds for 2030 when the thunder have so many assets

  21. Think this was a good move with Daeqwon Plowden and Leaky Black showing more quickness and fire, and Mogbo showing more potential than Nique, too, so they should get minutes.

    Just to trade him to him back to OKC for two second picks.. lol

    I mean.. seems like a long roundabout way to possibly get an extra pick lol

  25. Sac -The Kings are stuck in a time warp, drafting players who look like and fit the mold of previous successful teams. We need ultra-athletic 3-and-D players. That is where the NBA is going. Players like …Trevon Brazile (TB) from Arkansas, who functions largely as a high-upside "3-and-D" style forward.

    TB would have given Acuff an athletic big … a terrific pick-and-roll lob threat …just a ton of pressure on the opposing defense when going downhill. Acuff's ability to throw lob passes is one of his best, most dynamic skills

  26. Bad trade guys. You’re getting two future low second rounds picks for a guy that probably should be getting a lot more minutes on your team. Clifford is young with great potential and probably is someone you should want to develop with Maxine and Darius for the future since they’re on rookie contracts and just getting started in their careers.

    Don’t do trades with Sam Presti EVER. He’s going to take advantage of you if he can every time. He’s shrewd at this kind of stuff and usually wins each trade he does.

  28. The moment OKC ask for a trade u don't just give it to them. They don't trade with western conference teams and they want a young player from a western team who I actually like. U don't trade him unless is for a good return. Red flag after red flag after red flag the kings have no pride

    what i don't understand is why Deuce said that he can be a good defensive player for OKC if he is right now the worst defensive rating on the Kings, that's why Doug doesn't want to play him i guess and even worse his shooting abandoned him, maybe a trust mental thing but he has been abismo lately

  35. Unfortunately it’s a trade the Kings have to make due to incompetent asset management by monte and scott. Before this trade the Kings literally had 0 second round picks from 2028-2033 that’s 6 years. Imagine if anyone in this organization had a clue what they were doing.
