GAME PREVIEW: Will LaMelo Ball lift the guard play vs IND + are the Hornets in play-in or tank mode?



The Charlotte Hornets play their 2nd preseason game in what fans hope will be a major rebound from a 41 point blowout loss to the Boston Celtics. LaMelo Ball and the Hornets will welcome the Indiana Pacers who have some interesting similarities and contrasts. Plus we discuss some new changes on the broadcast team and whether or not the expectations should be play-in or draft mode.

    This is the year to tank.

    I'd be all over the phones to peel Russ from LA right now. Russ expiring + an additional pick for Terry and Gordon or Terry, Oubre, and Plumdog. I'd tell Russ to stay home for the year as well or offer buyout. This is the year to be MISERABLE by getting run for the young guys, getting a pick, and clearing a ton of cap space.

    This roster will never be able to compete as currently constructed even with miles on the roster so you might as well get value for terry and Gordon and tank for victor or scoot especially with how amazing they looked last night

    You guys keep talking about Gordon Hayward, CODY Martin & the rest of those dudes, but is missing the key player if Hornets is going to have any chance of making the play-off; Coach need to play Gelo & Melo together, The Ball boys can figure out how to beat any team.

    why are ppl suprised boston beat them by 30..first its preseason but seco dly all through last season, they struggled against good teams especially rozier …he shines against bad teams but hides when he plays a real team

    Melo should let the team tank. If it gets them (miracles happen) Webeyama that solves like 50% of their problem. Center position. Solved. Perimeter defence. Solved. Backup PG. Solved. 3 Point shooter. Solved.
