On Defense: The Trail Blazers are currently allowing just 108.9 points per game, good for the 8th-best in the league. This is wildly different from last season’s 115.1 points per game, which ranked 28th.

   I get we’ve been notoriously bad on that end for a while now, but I still don’t get why people are so surprised by this. Adding good defenders as well as a versatile and aggressive defensive scheme makes will make your team better at defense. We did that this offseason. This shouldn’t be that big of a surprise to anyone.

   Now if we could just get our turnovers down from most in the league which would help our fairly meh ortg of 110.8 and 17th in the league.
