Another loss because Luka didn’t score 36 points on great efficiency. This is the limit of this team.
not having Wood sucks, but it’s 10 games into the season and luka is already exhausted. he needs to just take some games off now and again and rest. and maybe one of these years he’ll be in better shape like he was in the bubble.

I don’t want to overreact to two games, especially since Wood is out and Luka is off. But I think losing Jalen is gonna really hurt in the long run.
Spencer has been great but he’s more an iso scorer and slasher than a distributor. Feels like we need somebody else that can initiate offense and spark the role players when Luka’s not playing well.
That’s 5 really really really bad losses now, when you consider huge leads given up and/or losing to teams whose top 1-2 best players are out with injury. Disappointing.
Bullock and doe can’t let wings fucking do this to us. Fuck outta here .

I hate the comments about us being “only 11 games into the season”. Our losses have been against tanking teams or teams resting their best players. If you want to be a top seeded team for the play-offs these are games you’re meant to win.
Just lost back-to-back games to the Magic without Banchero and the Wizards without Beal and KP.
Tbh I think this team is just average and that’s about it. If they wanna contend, they’re gonna have to make a trade.

All this luka need rest shit is ridiculous to me. Isn’t that why he got in shape in the off-season. I mean damn we played less preseason then most teams. If he getting gassed already kiss them mvp hopes goodbye.
One thing is clear to me, we need Cwood. He needs to do better defensively but he is absolutely key to our success

Why can’t we just beat a team by a healthy margin, especially when they don’t have their top two players? Always gotta play down to the competition. This team has issues.
This heliocentric, Harden-style offense needs to change ASAP. Luka already looks dead after 10 games, Spencer won’t be far behind. Kidd needs to coach some offense. Implement plays, more off-ball movement, dribble handoffs, etc. The ball needs to MOVE…one player can’t hold the ball for 16 seconds every other possession and create everything.
And the Mavs front office needs to trade for a wing who isn’t just catch and shoot on offense…we have too many of them. They need to get a wing (maybe Barnes) who can put the ball on the floor. THJ and young Josh Green should not be our best ball handlers from the wings.
BTW Spencer has been awesome so far this season, despite our record.
We’re not just 11 games in. Our schedule has been easy and we have most of our core returning. While the roster has more holes than swiss cheese, a real problem I’m seeing until trades solve the others is Luka’s conditioning is nowhere near what it should be compared to elite NBA perimeter players. He literally can barely get the ball up the court at times. So tired he can’t hit FT’s in the 1st quarter. His 3pt shooting almost isn’t a threat anymore. Never, ever have I seen that with Steph, Giannis, Morant, Tatum, Mitchel, Durant, types. No that doesn’t mean those players are better than Luka. But they are in better shape and it really isn’t close.
Starting 3 guys who are negatives on the offensive end is not sustainable. Games bog down into Luka and Spencer going ISO for most possessions.
Luka is already wearing down. What does it look like at game 70? I wouldn’t doubt if Spencer wears down too.
