The Locked on Nets guys dive into Nic Claxton’s season so far and see where he ranks among the NBA’s best big men in the stats department. He’s been excellent, finally getting a full starting nod and is backing it up with some of the best numbers in the game. The guys look at his early case for Most Improved Player and why this is happening for the Nets center who was brought back on a two-year contract in the off-season.
They discuss where he ranks in FG%, rebounding, blocks, defensive metrics, on/off stats and much more.

The current rotations have great fit and chemistry. You want any changes to build on that and not take away. Adding great talent doesn’t always increase fit and chemistry….it can actually have the opposite effect.
As stated…Claxton is young and making great year to year progress. Keep it going!
Love the improvement of Clax but to be Objective the Nets have gone through a stretch of perfect matchups down low for the Nets.
I still think size is and will be an issue when they go up against bigger more imposing centers that can get Clax and others in foul trouble.
Doug loves to oversimplify the need for size even when clearly when go up against certain matchup Claxton and the Nets struggle mightily.
Nobody is saying that a big slow center should replace Claxton that’s absurd or start over him what people are saying why not have that option that you can to on the bench yo spell Claxton when you banging with a Brook Lopez, Jonas V, Adam’s, Embiid, Jokic, and whole host of very talented bigger and strong centers. Doug would call them all slow and old but they seem to dominates the Nets. Instead having a Morris sitting on the bench why not have that option to go to in those situations. And Sharpe is not that dude . He is 6”9
KD is by far the most imp player on the team
😂 Doug is funny..if they're super slow we got a spot for u lol
leading the league in blocks is a stat fans Warm their hands over the stat fire 🔥😂 I think Doug has a lot more in the chamber he hasn't unleashed yet lol seems to be a bit of a spitfire..very Kool 👍😁
Well last year he was somewhere 6th-7th best nets player and he has legitly been 2nd -3rd best player this year I think he is better than every one outside of kd/kyrie
The way the nets are currently playing is great but it's fools gold in my opinion.i think we have to get the starters and roles straight and guys used to their real roles going forward as a championship team and not a plug in and play team based on injuries and off the court issues.no way mid season if Kyrie is here and Ben is here that the likes of Sumner and O'Neal are still starting.if so I would have doubts if we are in fact that championship contending team.
I think this opportunity at the time is good for giving some of the guys who haven't gotten playing time or understood their role and minutes under nash.its good to get these guys acclimated and gaining confidence in their game overall, but on this team especially going forward.simmons has to get his game together and it might be coming.but he has to get used to playing with Kyrie and kd.ben Simmons can not in any way continue to come off the bench if healthy and not on minutes restriction, or we might as well trade him.ben, if going to be on this team must get used to being the engine and a driving force for us on offense and defense or I don't see how it's a fit at all.i believe I'm seeing a little more pep in his step in the last game.but he has to get comfortable in who he was and can be again but even better on this team.
The Nets have played better, but without Kyrie and with a apprehensive Simmons, the Nets can’t win the east. The only teams I’m scared of in the east are the Celtics and Bucks.
If Claxton gets injured, the nets don’t have another competent center on this team. If the nets play the bucks in a 7 game series, the nets are going to get abused in the paint
I feel like The Nets can be better if the pit claxton at pf n get a strech center that can rim protect like Myles or Bamba. Claxton do well guarding guards n wings n we would actually defend n rebound better cause we would be bigger. Kinda like what lakers did wit Ad n mcgee. So Kyrie Irving,Royce,kd,clax,Bamba
I think he would get it if they did more post plays. He doesn't post up a lot consideration. Yes
