It wasn’t the action at the rim, it was the fact that he got right by him.
I know Zion has a nice first step and once he gets going it’s over. But the lack of fundamental defense in the NBA is always crazy to me. Don’t watch the eyes and don’t watch the ball. Watch the shoulders and hips because that tells you in every case where the player is going. Hips don’t lie. But very few guys stick to this. Obviously easier said than done from the guy that peaked in middle school basketball wise but still it’s a common criticism.

The way he accelerates is so forceful man .. it’s like soon as he decides where he’s going? .. your best bet is to try to time his release .. cause you are NOT shutting off that driving lane. He’s essentially a slow moving train ( relatively speaking ) .. it’s pretty interesting to watch
