  1. People blame FVV mainly for the way he plays and shot too much with poor FG percentage. Nick Nurse needs to be blamed for playing too many minutes of his starters too, and use his bench players inconsistently. Changes are needed for the team, and it's likely it will happen soon.

  2. In my defense.. I turned on him a while ago when we started vision 6'9 because you can't run 6'9 vision with a 6 foot guard

  3. Scottie unfollowed Fred on Social media. Farewell Fred. have fun in Orlando.

  4. it has nothing to do with being a scapegoat. its about making shots and playing the right way. in what world should fred being taking the shots hes taking given the fact hes got the worst fg% in the NBA over the past year? did you see the 30 ft pull up brick he threw up last night? how is that acceptable? if flynn took that shot he wouldnt see the floor for a week. he talks about adjusting to being off ball and a "3rd option" yet he took 23 shots last night and hit 5, all he does is talk about himself and how if he doesnt make those shots we dont win…sound like somebody whos willing to try a different role role for the good of the team? it doesnt to me honestly, dude just wants his. and thats just his offense.his defense has been atrocious recently as well, teams are clearly targetting him now on the defensive end. if hes injured he shouldnt play, bottom line. if hes healthy hes got no excuse, the media and the coaching staff love to criticize 21 year old scottie and 23 year old GTJs play yet fred always gets the benefit of the doubt, and always has excuses made for him. im tired of the excuses tbh.
and to be clear, some of this is on nurse, it feels like there is 0 system and 0 accountability for these guys on offense, and none period for FVV. these guys are just out there taking turns going iso, its horrible to watch, and honestly most of them arent talented enough to play that way(all of that is on nurse). this team plays like a bunch of individuals who care about getting their "bag" as opposed to wanting to win and making sacrifices to do it, and FVV is the worst of them imo.

josh donaldson had one of my favorite quotes ever "this isnt the try league, its the get it done league",
in a shooters league, if you cant make shots then you probably shouldnt play lol.

  5. Best case scenario is, Fred becomes our ginobli and signs a reasonable longer term contract.
Starting the season, it was crazy to think of Fred off the bench. Now it's clearer.
If that's what 2023 brings, so be it. Raps are putting the pieces in their places.

  6. dont blame Fred whole team and management are to blame grrrrr stop talk trade trade trade injured players their over pay there useless team digging hole for them next year no playoff run sad for Canada

  7. Fred needs to come off the bench I really love scotty but he too will be better on the bench till he comes in his own

  8. scapegoat nahh, he has no offense and no defense, slow and small, then why are we still keep him, paying him 30+ mills next year? Fans aren't idiots.

  9. scapegoat? I dont think so. Let's be honest. He's a limited skilled player. Too small, too slow, can't pass, dont have moves. Good things he has is 3s and defense. But he's not making shots so it makes him almost useless.

  10. @jj buckets i dont think you understand the situation. fred vanvleet will bet on himself and opt out of his contract in a mediocre free agent market and take his chances. so based on that if you think the raptors will just let him walk for nothing when they dont plan on paying him his bag for his poor performance this season, i think you are not being realistic. its the same reason why gary trent jr is gonna be moved because he will opt out of his contract this summer and the raptors will lose him for nothing.

last weekends meeting with players one on one that didnt go over well was about pulling the plug on the season.
