**It’s over for college basketball. Gone are the days when Big Monday and Super Tuesday ruled the beginning of the sports week. The NCAA’s been kicked in the ass mainly due to its arrogance. The NIL should’ve existed eons ago. Instead of banking via the names, imaging and likeness of kids whose families may or may not have lights on at home, the NCAA should have solved one of its biggest problems before it became a platformed issue. Harping on a broken system that pushed homegrown talents like the Thompson twins and Scoot Henderson to search for avenues that compensated its employees fairly without the hassle of exams and 7 am classes is a more enjoyable exercise than it reads, we promise.
