Poor Bey was wide open on so many threes and kept signaling for the ball… can’t believe Bogi got more minutes then him. Bogi has been a net negative recently …
This team actively doesn’t show up on such a regular basis- it’s pathetic. I would lose my mind coaching a team with this kind of work ethic.
I’m starting to believe we’re actually bad and not just painfully mediocre.
Things to remember y’all cause I know everyone is gonna go in on Trae
1. He should’ve played better this entire game, as the star and leader of the team you have to set the tone in games like these
2. We should’ve haven’t even been in this situation with Charlotte as a team, that end stretch is what we should’ve been doing the entire game and it felt like the team was asleep the first 3 1-2 quarters
Nate has lost this team…we always play down to our competition and that’s a coach and star player issue
3. As far as all the Trae plays down the stretch,
Offensively Trae was the one driving us back into the game, and on that shot where he got blocked, the play became dead and I think he just didn’t want to waste of a lot of time,
unfortunately he’s just small and on the next defensive possession his size was exposed too, on the PJ Washington 3 despite him playing good D.
Definitely a really bad loss but the way we fought to come back was really encouraging
We have to stop coming into games like this asleep…several times this year we’ve lost games like this just because of the way we came in.

This team really likes to give up easy shots in first quarter and get opponents’ shooters in rhythm, thus they become impossible to defend. It’s just frustrating to watch.

Tbh: Even if Nate McMillan is fired, it doesn’t fix all the issues with the team. The Hawks might need a soft reboot with their core in the offseason.
I want everyone to realize that 18% of the hornets entire wins are against us.
This team is not going on a meaningful run and is probably going to rally just enough in the play-in to make it into the playoffs to then be completely swept by the Celtics or the Bucks. Did I miss anything?
So the hawks collectively have a near 50/40/90 night and still get rocked by the Hornets.

I get why people are down but Hawks are the 6th youngest team in the league and the only team that’s younger AND better is the grizz.
This is who we are every other night it is what it is. Talented team but we can’t put it all together
all we had to do was hold em under 30 for at least one of those quarters…….most of those 3s were uncontested, aint no excuse, I was pulling out my hair all game. Maybe we missed JC’s defense tonight, but I hate that we’ve dropped so many games that we should win (hornets x3, rockets, etc etc). We’d be in 5th/6th place if we won at least half of the games we should win against worse teams, and top 4 if we won half of the games we blew leads. It feels fixable, but idk if we’re actually gonna fix it this season because it requires us to be consistent on both ends of the floor for 48 minutes of the game.
Just to state the positives I am seeing, offense has been noticeably faster-paced since the beginning of the year, and I like this 12+ assists per game Trae we are seeing on offense. Hunter has also found some consistency on offense. Diq also looked great in his debut, feel good about his offense.
We are now 11-9 against the bottom 8 teams in the league.

Man I watched Kings vs Mavs last night … the Kings really play fast paced almost every single possession… there’s so much off ball movement… we only really pace up when Trae is on the floor … and honestly I think Nate has slowed Trae down too this season… just venting here …

I love Trae but you gotta question how much accountability he takes for Ls and his leadership
He’s not the reason we lost tonight but he should’ve been the reason we won. This is a game that should’ve been important to the whole team coming in; Beys first game, fighting with the Knicks & Heat for the 6th seed, and we’ve lost several trap games like this this season, specifically 2, now 3, to THIS TEAM.
This is a game where the team should’ve asserted themselves early and wanted to dominate this team and send a message. Instead we came in sleepwalking.
Trae HAS to become the leader for this team and do that, he needs to start taking accountability, addressing his bad plays and issues this season. He should feel like this L is on him even though it’s not. That’s the kind of responsibility he has to start taking.
He’s a floor general and top 5 Pg but he’s not a leader yet and along with his defense(which has improved a lot this year) that’s his biggest flaw.
We need vets and a new coach ASAP

Tonight’s game crushed me.
I really wanted our Pride Night win streak to continue.
I’m just going to be positive here for a moment.
Offensively we looked pretty damn good. We were hitting shots and our starters all were efficient offensively. It was good to see the offense continuously bring the Hawks back from death throughout the game. We showed real growth there as thats not something we’ve been able to do consistently.
I would also like to point out how well the team did on the glass. We had 47 rebounds as a team and they only missed 31 shots. Thats another thing we haven’t been good at consistently.
We hit our damn free throws. 21/21. Stellar.

An outsider’s view of the Hawks:
Lots of talent but they play too pretty.
Too many lithe athletic guys. The most guilty guys? the backcourt
Murray is astoundingly bad on D. What a swinging gate. On O, almost never gets to the rim or the line. Just settling for 15 footers. Trae? Well, Trae has a pass, sort of…if he hits his 3s
I enjoy watching the Hawks, but they confuse me. They gotta learn how to get their hands dirty. But who? Capela, JC, Saddiq…who else can scratch & claw?
How do you score 138 in regular time and NOT win? Putrid Defense.

This game was outrageous mostly because the Hornets just kept making threes and we barely even shot them. Does anyone on this team know what perimeter defense is? Doesn’t seem like it.
the final blow will be when the hornets play the spurs tomorrow night and shoot 25% from 3 and lose by 10
