The only reason I can think of is not showing playoff plays but that sounds retarded.

  2. jbenson255

Heat losses don’t hurt me as much anymore that sucks as a fan tbh

  3. Harman3112

We shot like 2/14 from three in the second half, how those two have been so good with such little shooting around them is impressive

  4. BossKingGodd

Strus should only be taking catch n shoot 3’s. Waaaay too much freedom for an undrafted role player.

  5. rapelbaum

Man Bam refused to shoot ! Today was a non aggressive Bam version. Someone need to shoot the fkn ball.

  6. Quick-Philosophy-806

Its alright guys this teams finals bound!

  7. altruisticdisaster

We should have traded him at the start of the season. I’m kinda kidding but not really

It’s funny how this sub is constantly blaming Strus and is waiting for Duncan to be back as if Duncan (33%) has been shooting better than Strus (34%). Y’all have some serious short term memory issue lol.

Not to mention Strus is already better at nearly every other aspect of the game than Duncan while getting paid minimum. Defense, getting to the rim, you name it. Duncan is one-dimensional player in shooting who can’t even shoot anymore. There’s a reason why Spo is keep feeding Stus minutes instead of Duncan.

But yeah, let’s just keep on blaming our role player on a minimum contract lol How about we actually start blaming the FO for rotting 45M per year on the bench in Lowry and Duncan, as well as not signing a damn person since 2021? We literally had TWO drafted players in our lineup tonight. But yeah, let’s blame this on our undrafted role player.

EDIT: yup. Downvotes were expected, I’m not allowed to criticize Pat Riley in this sub lol. I’d love someone to actually refute what I just said.

You misread the play. The defense switched so jokic was guarding strus and a guard was on bam. Instead of flashing to the basket bam did not put himself in position to receive a pass so strus took it to the paint.

  10. bigdogdriver

tbh, I thought the shot would go to Gabe since he had the hot hand

  11. Am I the only one with eyes that saw him make 2 huge crunch time shots when everyone else was missing? I hate this thread, full of fake fans

  12. doyouunderstandlife

We needed a 3, especially since Jimmy missed that wide open layup, costing us 3 seconds. The Nuggets hitting both FTs would’ve likely iced the game.

Also you can’t hate on Spo for drawing up that play because he literally just drew up a wide open layup the very previous inbound, and also drew up the one that beat the Rockets.

I swear, you guys have such short fucking memories and take every loss so seriously. Strus had a hot hand tonight and 3 was the most realistic way to keep the game alive. It just didn’t work.

I agree. But if you watch it back, Bam takes the ball up the court and it’s just him vs Cancar 1on1. He then turns away from the basket. Passes to Strus, etc.

Not to mention Jimmy’s layup miss!! Both players had opportunities to impact the game and came up empty.

Sounds like a roster construction issue and not a coaching one to me. Spo just making do with whatever scraps is given to him

  15. kakabakaba

I don’t know what you expect, would you like Spo to tell Strus to stop shooting? There are times Jimmy and Bam are unselfish and just pass the ball around. There are also times when the paint is packed so it is not possible to have a good shot inside. I would be mad if Strus is taking transition pull up 3s with more than 20s on the shot clock but this is not the case. Most of his attempts are the result of broken plays and bail outs. The main issue here is they’re being asked to do more than what they are capable of because there is no one else.

I wonder how long Soo would have lasted on another team

I just went back and watched this play.

Bam is bracketed at the free throw line and being fronted by the biggest person on the court(Jokic). Strus probably wanted to get the ball to Bam but there was no entry pass someone like Strus could throw so he sat there frozen forever; Honestly, only Jokic and a handful of other players could have gotten that ball to Bam.

This is what happens when your two stars can’t be seriously expected to handle the ball out there because EVERYONE knows they can’t shoot; the opposing team would just play the drive. They have to give the ball to someone else to spread out the defense.

Butler is in the corner and covered. If it was a Butler 3, you all would have been out here slaying Spo for “a Butler corner three.”

In all honesty, the person to run a play at the top of the arc would be a 3 level shooter with some play making skills. We only have one of those on this team and he was out.

You all keep finding ways of getting mad at the coaching staff. What do you expect them to do with the lack of offensive versatility on this team?

He’s setting up for a rugpull in the playoffs where the Nets think that they’re going to Strus, but instead they go to Bam.

It’s a brilliant strategy until they play the Celtics.
