The Denver Nuggets won their season high 9th consecutive game now behind yet another preposterous Nikola Jokic performance. Despite the back to back absurd games, Jokic continues to plummet in MVP odds because the media haters have already decided he CAN’T win it.

Jokic does negate defense. Just ask a likely DPOY. I mean, what is a "rim protector" when Jokic is on the other team? I want to know how many fouls these defense partisans would like to saddle Jokic with when he can more than make up the points on the other end. If you told me that I could have Jokic do a lot more on defense in exchange for him not being available late in the game? I would politely decline.
I wonder why rebounds aren't figured more into defense. An O-reb is better than a stop. A D-reb is better than a block. Possession of the ball is more important than defense in this game, at this level.
