IS KAWHI ALRIGHT??? He did not play the 4th
I was glad we eeked out the win in spite of the missed FT's. I am not a fan of Kawhi being on the floor with Mathurin. He just doesn't understand the pecking order. He is NOT a #2 option on a championship aspiration team at this point in his career. I like his potential, but his inconsistency speaks volumes to my point. Garland, I like as well but he has to be a better fit with Kawhi when they're both on the floor. I thought Kawhi had to do way too much to get shots this game. It should be easier for him at this point in his career. The team needs to recognize that they are better when his game is easier, which usually results in wins against better teams. Not everyone on the team knows or is willing to embrace their roles. Brook and JC know their roles alongside Kawhi. Kobe Sanders played well in his role tonight also. The rest are still learning, but some need to be directed by the coaching staff. We're not looking our best for a play-in success until these things are addressed.
There's nothing ugly about holding a team to 103 points that's beautiful. Defense is beautiful we need to change the narrative. If we would of had the defensive mindset from day one we would of never went 6-21. We need to stick with that defensive identity and not call it "ugly"
