You got traded b/c you get hurt entirely too often. I'm a die-hard Laker fan. We love your ability, but Bro! You are not available enough for the price it costs the team. Luka is another generational player just like yourself, but there are levels to this and Luka is possibly a top 20 All-Time talent. We wish you the best!
AD did the Pelicans dirty back in 2019 & the Lakers did him dirty a few years later, so just chalk it up as karma š¤·š¾āāļø
& when it comes to how the Lakers went about trading him, I donāt feel bad for him at all. Iām sure I probably wouldāve felt the same as AD if I were in his shoes, but if I was in Rob Pelinkaās shoes, I wouldāve did the SAME THING – For 2 reasons:
1.) They seen how AD went about handling things back when he was trying to get traded from the Pelicans & theyāve seen how his agent Rich Paul goes about handling things on numerous occasions – which benefits the player, not the team – so telling Rich Paul or AD about their plans to trade him wouldnāt have worked in their favor like it did.
2.) AD, aka āStreet Clothesā, sustained MULTIPLE āsoft tissueā injuries EVERY YEAR with the Lakers – with the Mavericks too, which is why they didnāt waste much time shipping him outta there to the Wizardsā¦ now heās out for the season š¤¦š¾āāļø – & those injuries caused him to miss SEVERAL games.
Most of his āsoft tissueā injuries are STRAINS, which usually comes from not being in āgood enoughā shape & thatās just not acceptable, especially for a franchise like the Lakers.
Even KG had to call him out after he said that he hadnāt picked up a basketball all offseason & for not coming into the season in TOP SHAPE, so Iām sure the Lakers looked at that as well. They paid him like a Superstar, but he canāt stay on the court all because heās sustaining injuries that stems from not putting in the work in the work in the offseason to come into the season in TOP SHAPE like theyāre paying him to do, I wouldāve shipped his ass away without telling him too. Weāre the LAKERS, Home of 5 of the Top-10 players in NBA History (Wilt, Kareem, Magic, Shaq, & Kobe) & the Home of the ā2nd-Most NBA Championshipsā in NBA History, so GTFOH & take that LAZY sh*t with you to the Wizards

1. He requested a trade with a year and a half left on his contract.
2. He was already playing like he was checked out.

As someone who was a diehard Pels fan because of AD & Jrue, this was the insight and information Iāve been waiting to hear from AD himself for 8 years now so thank you so much Draymond.
