  1. 11-16 from 2.
    0-9 from 3.

RJ has been so bad from 3 this year.

He’s gonna have to limit himself to only 2 or 3 three’s each game during the playoffs.

  2. staymelooo

Picking no one at 3rd overall wouldve been better than getting RJ. At least a huge piece of the cap wouldnt be tied up in a liability

  3. Aaaaaaandyy

How do you miss 7 straight 3s and say ā€œI’m gonna take a couple moreā€. I know this game doesn’t matter, but dude stop attempting 3s.

  4. Sad-Ad2030

RJ should be banned from taking 3s, if he takes one he’s benched

  5. NYImpact414

Why did RJ take 25 shots this game 😪😪

  6. cjackc11

tbh I paid more attention to the Mavs game than our own sucks to lose but nbd tell RJ to stop shooting threes thanks

  7. zOmgFishes

RJ can give you 28 on 16 shots but he can also launch 9 3s while bricking everyone of them. Someone needs to fix his shot selection and we’ll be fine as team

  8. Swankyyyy

I know this game doesn’t matter but RJ is so frustrating sometimes. He looks lost on defense out there in crucial possessions way too often and is just absolutely horrendous shooting. I physically cringed when he took that last 3 because I knew it wasn’t going down.

  9. RJBarrettsBurner

RJ canNOT shoot DAMN. Bro gotta forget shooting 3s in the playoffs, he was actually making good decisions once he attacked the basket too just forget that 3 mane

  10. howdy_goy

This hurt to watch. Some bad plays by IQ there at the end to take us out of the game, but my god, RJ Barrett. What was that play before halftime? And every 3 is a flat brick, disgusting to watch. Grimes >> Barrett, I can’t watch him sink us in the playoffs.

  11. teknomatic

Good showing considering we were not playing 3 starters and not playing for anything, while the Pels are still fighting for seeding.

Obviously the perimeter shooting was not good, but RJ didn’t play that bad. He went 11/16 from two and was finding teammates for buckets.

  12. admiral_aubrey

So many good vibes last game, ball was moving, efficient shots, great passes. Huh, what was different this game? Seems like something big changed.

  13. RJ-Burner

Idk if its rj’s trainer or something but bro 0/9 from 3 is just rediculous how can a 40% 3pt shooter regress his shot this bad this fast

  14. NYdude777

At least RJ plays good D oh wait…

24 shots to get 28 points. Damn he’s good. Did anyone else know he’s only 22 and going to be a star in 3 maybe 4 years? /s

  15. AlfredHampton88

This three point situation by Barrett is going to rear its ugly head because he can’t attack the paint with Mobley and Allen guarding it

  16. DavidTrillsdale

It sucks but it’s gotta be said man.

RJ isn’t very good at basketball.

  17. i_am_the_senate_

Damn the Mavs choked, they’re not even playing a center of forward. This is the most shameless tank job I’ve ever seen

  18. Props to MSG for trying to spin this as a good game for RJ pumping up his trade value

  19. knick4life

If you’re the Cavs why don’t you just sag off and dare RJ to shoot?

  20. pwnnoobs13

Mavs are pathetic…. No shame either. Threw the lead in the last 5 minutes

  21. dukemantee

Ok and Mavs tank, miss the play-in, and keep their 1st rd pick. Let’s trade them RJ and we’ll be even.

  22. M9Zeprah

I’ll excuse RJ for playing like ass because he’s missed a few games

  23. Great game in the paint for RJ, terrible game outside the arc though. When he penetrated he finished and created with tons of open looks for his teammates and zero turnovers. He needs to continue shooting the 3 if we’re going to be successful vs the Cavs, but should be limited to 3-4 attempts.

Nice showing by Sims – Hate that we didn’t try to get Obi going more.

  24. will122589

Knicks with nothing to play for play their heart out to the bitter end, the Mavs who should have everything to play for are shamelessly tanking to an embarrassing level. A tale of two franchises indeed

  25. Knickerbockers-94

    – RJ – 25fga
    – Grimes – 11fga

    Fucking L O L

  26. HurricaneBiII

First game back for RJ after being out and I liked how he played tonight. Got anything he wanted at the rim and was converting time and again. And his passing was the best it has looked all season. It’s just a huge bummer his 3pt shot won’t fall anymore. Hopefully he can find his groove in the playoffs.

IQ and Grimes are just really feeling themselves now and it couldn’t be at a better time.

It’s about damn time Hartenstein’s passing skills are being utilized. He had some wicked sick dimes tonight. Jokic of the East indeed.

Obi attacked the rim off the bounce a few more times this game. And he had yet another step back 3 go down. He can really become an offensive menace for another team, and I really hope that happens. He’s so fun to watch and I want 30+ mins of him every game, but that can only happen somewhere else.

  27. M9Zeprah

RJ just makes me cry when I see him play basketball

  28. Team is legit worse with RJ vs without. Wish we weren’t in the lottery that season

  29. i_am_the_senate_

If there are basketball gods, someone will jump the Mavs and they’ll lose their pick anyway

  30. Fast_Door

Don’t wanna hear y’all complain about RJ from range tonight. Did he shoot 0-9? Yes. Is that horrible? Beyond. Was it in a game that remotely mattered? It was not.

He’s been bad from 3PT this year I’m well aware, but I’d MUCH rather he just TRY to warm up his shot BEFORE the playoffs, when you can’t afford to go looking for your shot.

So yeah, by all means if you wanna acknowledge Barrett’s shooting as terrible tonight, you’re not wrong, but would you rather he just erase the 3PT shot from his repertoire a la Ben Simmons? Or, at minimum, see if he get a rhythm going while they have time, no stakes, and NBA competition to test it on?
