There will be hell to pay if Danny Ainge doesn’t get us a championship even though he makes me watch Talen Horton Tucker.

  2. Good flashes especially from Keyonte. Realistically a good loss, finishing bottom 8 is far better than bottom 10

  3. 12:00 – Talen Horton-Tucker enters the game for Kris Dunn. BOS 98-91 UTA

5:11 – Kris Dunn enters the game for Talen Horton-Tucker. BOS 113-93 UTA

15-2 run for Boston as soon as that useless waste of a roster spot came into the game. Why does he even play? Not like we’re planning on keeping him past this season right? RIGHT?!

    GAME NOTES:

Honestly very happy with the result. We fought hard all game, and weren’t blown out. At any moment, it looked like we were ready to make a comeback, and did a few different times. Boston went on a killer 21-0 run over a span of 6 minutes in the fourth which really put the game away however. We even had good looks over that span, but just couldn’t find the bottom of the net until the 5:45 mark in the fourth. Oof.

Keyonte George had a very good game, highlighted by an insane first quarter. 26 points on 9-17 shooting, 5-10 from 3, 3-4 from the line, 1 rebound, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 3 turnovers. However, he was a team-low -24 in his 35 minutes. He started off an insane 5-5 from the field, and went just 4-12 since. [But wow, look at some of these shots](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767724108047958090?s=20), that [he was](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767720924613095440?s=20) hitting [in the first quarter.](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767724012136702028?s=20) Another highlight was this [chasedown block on Pritchard.](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767723349432508526?s=20) Unfortunately, he cooled off significantly after that great first quarter. He was really the only reason we weren’t outscored by 20+ in that first quarter.

Jordan Clarkson had a good game off the bench. 21 points on 10-18 shooting, 1-4 from 3, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 turnover. He was -21 in his 34 minutes. [His only 3pt make was this nasty move and stepback in the first half,](https://x.com/ClutchPoints/status/1767730169035239900?s=20) but his game was mostly going inside and hitting floaters in the paint. I thought that he played pretty well, all things considered. I would’ve loved to have seen him playmake more, although his ability to get into the paint and score was big tonight.

Collin Sexton had a decent shooting night, going for 20 points on 9-16 shooting, 1-4 from 3, 1-1 from the line, 7 rebounds (5 offensive!), 5 assists, 1 block, but a terrible 5 turnovers. His turnovers were bad, but I like that he was crashing the glass hard offensively, and had a few putbacks. [He’s still very, very fast off the catch, and hit this nice and-1 in the third.](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1767737500523733082?s=20) Just needed to see a bit more from Collin, but a pretty average night for Sexton’s standard.

John Collins was not very good offensively, but his defense inside was fairly good. 10 points on 2-9 shooting, 2-4 from 3, and 4-4 from the line, but just 4 rebounds and 2 blocks in his 29 minutes. Boston did an excellent job keeping him off of the glass on both ends, which really hurt. For the first time in a long time we were outrebounded.

Brice got his 3rd consecutive start, and couldn’t get his shot to fall. 1-5 from the floor, 0-2 from 3, just 2 points tonight. 4 rebounds, and 4 assists though, so not too bad. He only played 23 minutes, but was guarded by Tatum most of his minutes which made it difficult for him to get separation to get a clean look up. [His passing ability has surprised me a lot, here’s a nice dish to Potter for 3.](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767742420236538345?s=20) I wasn’t expecting him to be a good passer, but It’s been great. I hope he keeps it up.

Micah Potter was the [spark plug tonight.](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1767728555331338655?s=20) 8 points on 3-3 shooting, 2-2 from 3 to go with 2 rebounds in 13 minutes. [Big fan of his play tonight.](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767727954224681330?s=20) It felt like when he was in, we went on a run.

THT played awfully. 2-7 shooting, 1-2 from 3, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 17 minutes. He was trying to make this terrible circus shot work in the lane, and it wasn’t even drawing fouls. His 2 steals were great, but offensively dude is a black-hole. Bad night for THT, I can’t overstate how terrible those circus shots were. I’m trying to find clips, but they were awful. His defense in the fourth was pathetic, and the ball continually stopped with him in the fourth which coincidentally was when Boston went on their run.

Kris Dunn played well given his role. 6 points on 2-5 shooting, 2-3 from 3, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, +3 in his 24 minutes. [Here’s one of his buckets, assisted by a great Sensabaugh pass.](https://x.com/UtahJazzClips/status/1767740674978251262?s=20) He was tasked with guarding Tatum when he was in, which is such a tall order, but I thought he did the best on anybody on our team.

Kessler played 19 minutes, had 2 points on 1-1 shooting, 8 rebounds (3 offensive), 1 assist, and 1 block. -12 in his 19 minutes. [His only make was this putback dunk.](https://x.com/JazzLead/status/1767726211034452085?s=20) His defensive rotations seem to be off this year. I’m willing to write it off as a sophomore slump, but it’s starting to worry me.

We just couldn’t overcome the absolute onslaught of 3pt shooting that Boston provided. 20-49 from 3 for them. We didn’t have a bad night either, 15-32 from 3, but just couldn’t keep up with them, especially in the first half.

Honestly, besides the 3 point differential, this game looks very close via box score. They shot 46.7% from the field, we shot 47.7%. They shot 40.8% from 3, we shot 46.9%. They shot 89.5% from the line, we shot 90.9%. The biggest differences were 3pm, and rebounds. We only had 10 turnovers which is great, but just couldn’t contest some of their 3’s man.

    28-36.

Effort was better than the Denver game, would have been interesting if the Jazz didn’t forget how to score for like 7 minutes straight in the fourth quarter. Ahh well, the tank rolls on.

Also Keyonte is an absolute baller

  6. I’m gonna be straight up, Jason Preston is NBA ready and another good find by Ainge, but we gotta play him already

  7. 21-0 run in the fourth lmao.

It’s tough watching 4 streak shooters and John Collins play all at once.

  8. Toffeeees

We tried but I’m happy our young bluds are getting minutes

  9. redcobra2

We let a team on a 4 game road trip and a back to back drop 70 on us in the 1st half with no Brown, Porzingas or Horford and we rested two days…Hardys defense is awful and it’s the same lousy defense each game that has no idea how to guard the 3…press needs to hold him accountable

  10. Sultan-of-swat

We suck. I’m so sick of never even getting close to a chip. It’s been almost 20 god damn years since we even went to the western conference finals let alone the actual finals.

I’m sick of being bad. I’m sick of being mediocre. I’m sick of saying that our best team in 10 years only made it to the semis.

Just once, I want a legit team. Just once I want people to worry about how good the Jazz are. Just once I want to not have to the Sheldon Mack’s and THTs of the world be on our team.

I just want to win one chip. Just one. It’s like the harder they try the further they are from achieving it.
