As a Mavs fan this can go both ways. It will depend on who shows up and who plays who off the floor.
Imo the most important matchup is going to be Gafford vs Chet. If Gafford can impose his physicality, OKC have literally no one to stop him from bullying whoever for dunks and rebounds. However, can Chet make him pay for not being able to defend the perimeter?
Another key will be Giddey. Mavs defense is predicated in letting the worst shooter shoot, and that's going to be Giddey. If he can make open threes, Mavs will be in trouble.
Then it's mostly if Luka's threes are falling and how much Dallas' defense is able to stop Shai and J-Dub.
Exum showing up will be a positive, because he was (unexplicably) unplayable vs the Clippers
D-live gonna show up for Chet. He's pumped for this

I’m a homer, so I’m going to bet that their bigs will be able to stay on the floor and punish the thunder’s size. But if they get played off, I don’t know how they’ll deal with OKC w/out Maxi in their small ball lineup

People talk about OKC's youth, yet we know theyre a good basketball team. How will their non mvp players hold up in close games, on the road, in hostile environments during swing or close out games with the series on the line. Will they execute, will they make free throws, will they knock down big shots. Curious to see if they pass this first true playoff test.
Im giving the edge to my mavs and 7 due to the physical size and strength advantage with the contagious poise of kyrie.
But damn im excitedly nervous.
